SMART MOVE DONT YOU THINK.were you there
No, I wasn't.  And yes, it was the smart move, but this school board isn't exactly reputed for it's stellar decision making.

I would be anxious to hear from anyone who was there whether the vote was unanimous.  If it was not, I'd like to know who voted against.

I was there and it was a unanimous vote. 6-0 one member wasn't present at the meeting.

Some board members even held up one finger on one hand and two on the other when voting "yay" to approve Thompson, the same hand-sign players use to say "112 percent," the motto of quarterback Reggie Garrett, who died in September.

He will continue to serve as defensive coordinator and will run the same 50-defense the school has run since 1977.

On offense, Thompson will keep the spread offense and all of the terminology. The only change is that he wants to run the ball more.

"We won't be in the wishbone or the stacked I or anything like that nature," Thompson said. "We have spread athletes now."

I didn't see that. I did see Andrew Hayes raise both hands but not the 1 and 2 fingers. He was the only one that raised both hands. Not sure that part of the story is accurate.

Lets See What Coach Foreman can Come Up With
Are you asking what coach Toby Foreman will come up with? If so I'm not sure how that will affect WOS.

TD,Dont You Think Its Just A Little Late For HIM To Make A Move .
I'm sure TD can answer for himself, but there are still a LOT of coaching changes being made around the state.  There is movement all around in our area and even more around the state.  New Head Coaches will bring on their own staffs and shuffle coaches on the existing staff.  Some will even have those choices made for them.
Even though Coach Thompson won't "overturn the applecart", it's still his program to run now and some changes may be in the future at WOS.

You're right Slam. There are changes to be made at WOS. If nothing else there are positions to be filled. We have lost a few coaches beginning and not ending with a DC.

To answer your question skipper, no not at all.

I sure hope he stays though.

I hear he's gone.
Gone where? Gone to the track to oversee practice?  :D
No gone from Wos. Hear he's telling people that. Now whether it's his choice or Thompson, I'm not sure.

The guilty verdict issued hours ago against former President Donald Trump is a clear abuse of our justice system. This politically motivated and stacked trial is what we have come to expect in communist China or North Korea—not in the United States of America.   The totalitarian impulse of the neo-Marxist Left is to suppress and silence political opposition using any means necessary.    But here’s what we must understand: What just happened is not only about Donald Trump, and it will not stop with him.   The Left is not only waging legal warfare against Donald Trump. They are attempting to prevent half the country from having any say in the governance of our nation, and they have weaponized the legal system to ensure their success at any cost.    They are already using our legal system to go after pro-life activists and patriotic Christians who defend religious liberty. The Deep State is spying on conservative parents and churches, treating them like enemies of the state. They have even gone so far as to compare caring parents to terrorists.    The Left has repeatedly contested that conservatives are a threat to our democracy. Yet, they are the ones who are aggressively attacking our Constitutional Republic with blatant disregard for our fundamental rights. We cannot remain silent against such explicit tyranny.   Today's verdict is a clarion call for every God-fearing, America-loving Christian and our fellow citizens who believe in faith, family, and freedom to run, walk, or crawl, if necessary, to the polls this November. Gary Bauer, Senior Vice President of Public Policy  James Dobson Family Institute
