Was this game close because of rain or because Silsbee lack of discipline on both sides of the ball just wanted to know?

Silsbee down to their 5th RB. (who did a great job tonight but the kid is also the starting inside LB)

Penalties didn't help either from what I am told and the fact that HJ has a great athlete at QB.

Next week's game vs Shepherd hopefully will be a different outcome.

Well, as always rain will impede the offense more than defense. Being down five RBs and still having one run for 200+ and 300 or so as a team shows pretty good discipline on the Oline and down field blocking by the WRs. Yes, we all would love a perfect game by our offenses. The defense seemed to be a half a step behind all night. HJ QB and RB was able to get to the edges. While Silsbee had it's fair share of TFL, HJ was able to get some big plays of their own.

Is it a lack of defensive preference or because the QB and RB from HJ or coaching for that matter made it to where they could exploit y'all's defense in certain scenarios?

I said it last year and I still think it hold true this year, HJ’s #1 the QB/WR/DB is probably the best overall athlete in the district, he will be greatly missed and HJ is a completely different team when he starts at QB.(Only 2nd game of the season that’s he’s played QB)

I would agree!!! He might be the greatest football player I've seen at HJ in many many years. The kid is a super athlete. Was he he thr starting QB all year?

Silsbee freshman RB #13 is pretty good. #2 had a 40 yard TD run as well. Hopefully Silsbee gets a few guys back this week ans heading into the playoffs.

This was only his second game to start at QB that I know of and play there for the majority of the game. Before last week and most of last year they would only put him in if the starter would get injured and needed to come out for a few snaps, or if they needed a quick touchdown. Lol

I'm not sure the coach for HJ was making the right call. This kid should have the ball in his hands 20-25 times per game. The ruining back #3 is good as well. If #1 Warren and #3 ,were to start all year, I'm confident HJ would be a playoff team. Im not sure that staff knew what they had at QB.

Those 32 carries by Morris has to be the most by a single player at Silsbee since Calvin Tyler.

I don't think Johnson had that many last year in a single game.

Looks like Silsbee needed every one of those carries by Morris. Let's not forget that Morris is also the starting inside LB on defense. Herculean effort by him last night.

Got to get Tyler back soon to help with the RB situation. Robinson and Jones (who both hadn't played RB all season until last night) will need more carries going forward as well.

I agree amazing effort from Morris. I’ve always been impressed with his game
