spidersal Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago I watched the game and I would be surprised if the Bulldogs had a hundred yards on the ground. I saw several tackles for a loss and many for a 1 or 2 yard gain. That is not what I would call good blocking. I thank you being a good Dad and fully supporting your son. Maybe he just had a bad night along with the other 4 lineman Just be glad that he wasn’t on the defensive side of the ball that couldn’t hold TC after taking a 35-34 lead with just 1:03 left in the game. If it was left up to me the only coaches I would keep would be receivers coach, RB coach, and DL coach Quote
baddog Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Man, I think of all the players and coaches who have to put up with these comments. If you think negative comments helps your “team”, you’re wrong. To all the players and coaches, all teams have had games just like this. If not, it’s coming. Coaches, get your players together and tell them this was a tough loss, but that you and the fans are behind them. We’ll win the next one and make a deep playoff run. I don’t have a kid playing, I’m just a fan. Don’t take the negative comments to heart because they are not involved. Go Dogs! 1970, AggiesAreWe and 1989NDN 3 Quote

If it hadn’t been for his two quick tds the game would have been over. Blaming him for a penalty, when they got another right after and they scored on the first play. Yall get on this website every week talking crap, and probably never touched a football and just passed out water bottles. Keep the Clays out your mouth. I don't think any one kid costs a game, it's a team. However, dude, I was like 5 rows from your hissy-fit at the game before you got tossed. Right behind the cheerleaders too. If you don't wanna be in people's mouths then don't act a fool. You're kid isn't the best player ever lived. Quote
GoBigBlue1997 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Reading these comments is beyond frustrating. I’m #13’s dad and have spent a lot of time around these kids at team dinners and other functions outside of the games on Friday night. They have a very tight knit football family and all love and genuinely support each other. The coaches have built and sustained that culture which I believe is the only thing holding this team together after the last two losses. To be successful, its going to take us as parents to continue to support this team in every aspect. Hollering at the coaches and screaming who to play and when needs to stop. It’s not helping. I know your intentions are good and we all want the same thing, but it is only causing fractures and division. We are blessed to have a group of kids like this that support and love each other as much as they do. Let’s do our best to continue to encourage that. CS., Nederlandproud, 1989NDN and 1 other 4 Quote

Nederlandproud Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Clay, We support your son. I am so amazed at his talent on the field. Coach Rich is trying to build something in Nederland and I'm glad your son has chosen to be a part of it!!! I am ashamed and embarrassed that anyone from Nederland would call out your son. Some people need to realize that this is just football. It's about community and showing the kids that they are valuable win or lose. Quote

I was talking to Mr. Clay and his embarrassing mouth and attitude. Been seeing it since youth football. He should never be allowed to step foot into another game. glassjoe Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Fairly certain that everyone supports the kids. But at the same time can see when there is poor judgement and a very critical time to have a stupid (yes it was stupid) penalty. It was selfish but at the same time the kid needs to have the ball more. The parents, both, seem to be creating friction. Drawing attention to this thread, making posts on FB and taking all credit for the kid keeping the bulldogs in the game but not being able to admit that it was a mistake after that last TD. It’s ok to say it was a poor decision. Dogs have a decent wave of athletes and should do fine but man their parents are wild. Some of the same ones saying “don’t worry coach Barrow, we are in the way” a few years back. Them having a tree lighting ceremony for winning 8th grade district title. Let’s the kids play, teach them humility and team first. The coaches need to step up with culture, it hasn’t gotten better. And there is zero reason to have delay of game on a kick off, tacked on to the unsportsmanlike…also, tackle someone, PNG QB and TC RB looked like prime Barry Sanders Darth Texas and AggiesAreWe 2 Quote

This is for our kids, maybe if you have an issue with him that you can take it up with him on a personal one on one conversation? I get the frustration, Ive been with laine on his football journey since youth football for some reason I’m not sure who you’re talking about and I didn’t hear him at the game or even see anyone get kicked out, guess I was just to dialed in on the game to notice. But anyways hopefully yall can mend things, it’s just hs fooball lol 😝 ✌️ Nederlandproud 1 Quote

Christmas tree lighting ceremonies, pics of these over the top Team dinners, parents creating their own new slogans and selling shirts for a profit is truly hilarious. They even tried to rename our families Metreyeon baseball field “The Land” a few years ago with T shirts. These parents need to understand this program has been here for years so quit trying to create your own personal culture. This is BIG NED!! Keep it the way it’s supposed to be!!! We don’t need T Shirts for every idea you think up. DoggStyle 1 Quote

Bigdog Posted 31 minutes ago Report Posted 31 minutes ago For me , the defense needs to learn how to finish the 2nd half of games: They let two slip away 2 weeks in a row. DoggStyle 1 Quote

Defense needs to learn how to get off the field… many times we had them 3rd and long… even a couple 4th and long and TC converted. Gotta learn to tackle to the ground. Not the best angle tackle either. Quote
