Only thing I question was the illegal substitution call when Nederland called a TO… other than that Nederland has to clean up the penalties… TO didn’t matter. That was the second time they broke the huddle with 12 and they ran one off. First time PNG coaches went nuts and the officials discussed it after the play. They should have thrown flag both times as soon as they broke the huddle. They have one job when teams are in huddle and they blew it. Quote

Unless the TO was called before the huddle was broke… i believe that’s what Rich was trying to argue to the refs. .But that is water under the bridge that 1 penalty wouldn’t have saved the game or anything… Quote

That’s why he called TO. Thought he could make that argument. It almost worked 🤣. Quote
cal81 Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago PNG destroyed Texas City 55-23 and Dayton 42-0 and had backups in the 3rd Qtr. in both games. We'll see how Nederland responds. Quote
1989NDN Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago Good game, Nederland. Evenly matched game that could have gone either way. Both teams played hard and played well. Glad PN-G won, glad no one was seriously injured on either team, and see the Dogs again at MCM in baseball season. GO INDIANS. Quote

Smashem1984 Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago Why did the Coaches not go with the QB Collins player on last drive??? He can run and scramble a lot better and that sack killed us. Either way Big Ned was out coached again. Also what is up with the players wearing gold jerseys on the sidelines? I feel some of them play JV and curious why they are dressed in shorts and gold jerseys and not playing. Quote

Whoever finishes as the 3rd and 4th place teams will be embarrassed in Bi-District and they know it. Quote

1970 Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago The 1st quarter blocked field goal was looming large as the game went on. And a couple of missed passes later on. The Santa Fe - Baytown Lee game looks like it was a good one as well. We have Lee and GP left; and Ned has TC and Dayton. One never knows what can happen with TC. And Ned - Dayton games seem to always be close games. We'll see what happens. Quote
A BUC 77 Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago Great game. I knew this one was going to be close. The Dogs showed up and reminded me of the glory days when Neumann paced the sidelines. I know coach Spell was grinning watching the D line tonight. I think Nederland didn’t utilize Ned or Clay enough down the stretch. Better play calling on the purple side. The refs were ok. I don’t think png got any holding calls all night. Sorry I had to stick that in there. All and all it’s not a bad loss. prepballfan and NDNWarrior 2 Quote

"used to" = say, 5+ years ago or so. Maybe there were some rule changes, IDK. Quote

I don’t think it matters who is in when all you do is play action and their defense of end is coming staright for the qb everytime, so everytime he looks up he can’t do anything. Quote
