I realize they beat Spring Woods and Aldine.

I also notice that their losses have been closer this year than they have been over the last decade. They likely won't win any more games this year but it sounds like they're starting to get more guys out of that massive population spike to play football now.

Is their coaching staff across the board more stable now?

Good to see Cleveland stop that long losing streak. Good for those guys.

But that brings us to Spring Woods.

There is absolutely no reason they should be this bad. They are horrible and it really doesn't make much sense for them to routinely be this bad.

It's been 15-16 years since Colony Ridge opened. I would imagine they're getting to the point where some of the high school aged kids living in Colony Ridge actually grew up here and were exposed to football coming up.

1. The community is transitory. 2. There other priorities than school sports within the community

I agree with both of your statements. That said, the population is anywhere from 40K-100K, depending on the source. It's been open over 15 years. Without a doubt for the first several years nearly all of the high school aged males living there were not born in the US and did not grow up playing football. But 15 years later, even if the population there is largely transitory, it would take only a miniscule percentage of the high school aged kids there to have grown up playing football to improve Cleveland from the worst team in the state to just a bad football team. If we took an average of 70,000 for the population, 1/10 of 1% of that population would have to be high school aged males with experience/interest in football to provide Cleveland high school with 70 players. Even if i'm overestimating by double, 35 decent athletes with an interest in football would make quite a difference for a program like cleveland.
