Horns looked really good tonight! They were one play away several times by winning by more than they did. Broussard is crazy good this year. 5 touchdowns and I don’t know how many yards

Everyone one throws around the word discipline when discussing teams. I will change it for just a moment and call it well behaved. Having seen HF play in person only about 3 times in the past 10 years, however I did not like "they way the carried themselves."  This may very well be the best behaved group I have witnessed. A huge unsportsman like cost La Marque big time on a possible scoring drive and HF never appeared to do anything that could cost them throughout the night.  Late in the game there was an extremely minor push after a play and an HF player immediately was forcing his teammate to the sideline to keep his team from being hit with unsportman like as well. 

Hoping this is not a 1 time thing and they stay away from some of the foolishness of the past. Whether coaching emphasized or just an overall decent group of kids that was my personal highlight from last night's game. 

Now, someone may come on here and defend some past teams actions and that's fine, just giving an opinion.

A couple of stats from last night:

Blake Broussard: 15-20, 292 yds, 5 TDs, 6 rushes for 58 yds

Dwayne Long: 8 receptions, 232 yds, 4 TDs

Parker Sebastian: 4 Receptions, 42 yds, 1 TD, 9 tackles on defense

all three of these boys are juniors.

 

Isaiah Reed: 22 tackles 

Jayden Bell: 14 tackles 

Jesus Sandoval: 5/5 extra points, 2 touchbacks
