So, Trump is not Putins puppet?

you seemed to skip over that

Trump got played. He’s a semi-successful hotel developer going up against the former head of the KGB strategically while being advised by a group of “yes men” whose only qualification was that they were unflinchingly loyal to Trump. Experience not necessary.

At this point, I’d say that Trump is not a puppet on strings like Pinocchio, but rather the kind where Putin is elbow deep up Trumps rear end like he’s a Muppet.

And oil is trading at $114/barrel this morning.

It It's incredible how, regardless of Trump's unethical actions or statements, people tend to overlook them. I honestly don't understand why. Any previous President who had committed actions similar to those of this President might have invoked the 25th Amendment, Section 4. He's a convicted felon with serious allegations and clear signs of dementia. More than a year has passed, yet he hasn't brought peace or economic stability; instead, he has only caused chaos.

He is the author of confusion.

I was talking with somebody earlier about how Operation Epstein’s Fury was going to cost us hundreds of billions of dollars and they corrected me, saying that the cost was nowhere near that.

This is the hidden content, please

You, sir, have been corrected.

It’s the master plan man! They don’t tell us the plan because we don’t want the enemy knowing, duh!!

I would have liked the money to go to Ukraine. Oops, already has, and they’re still at square one. Funny how this is back burner stuff for the left.

You, sir, have been corrected.

If you’re referencing me, you’d be wrong again. You specifically stated the effort had already cost in the hundreds of billions. You were corrected with the available data that said $2 Billion/day was the high estimate.

The request of $200 Billion is to cover current and future anticipated costs as well as weapon replacement costs and other future budget requests.

From the article:

President Donald Trump’s National Economic Council director Kevin Hassett said Sunday the war has already cost $12 billion.

Deflect has always been the plan. Nothing to see here.

I still don’t understand why no one is proposing a tax holiday (State & Federal) while prices are elevated from the ME conflict. Would seem an easy way to curtail grumbling and help the public.

That would be an immediate price drop of about 0.55/gal.

A lot better than draining SPR.

That's been talked about over several administrations and I don't think it has ever been done or attempted.

I'm not sure if it could be done by executive order, but if it could that would be a great move by Trump...... you KNOW the democrats would oppose it.....lol

Why would anyone oppose saving money?  The great move would be the 79 year old retiring and registering in Florida.

We passed $39 trillion in debt this week. One of every three dollars the federal govt spends is borrowed, and interest rates can’t come down right now.  Trump gave big tax cut last year and promised to offset the cost with tariffs, but they were proven illegal, refunds are pending…. But we already slashed tax revenue.  We quite simply put, can’t afford to cut any tax revenue right now.  It makes even less sense then Doge checks.

Let's see...

1. Provide an 18.4/gal price break to the American public for a month or so from pausing Federal taxes. Not a lot. But, $.18 means ~5 gallons, you save a buck. Cost is probably somewhere around $25 Billion--just my guess. Rob the amount from Treasury to make up for the loss in HTF.

Or...

2. Empty 178 MM barrels from SPR to help the World supply (not just America), then pay at least $70/barrel to refill SPR all strictly on the backs of the American public. Don't forget, 178 MM barrels only refills to about 40%. Still haven't made up for what the previous Administration pulled out in their term to help gas prices.

If trying to help the American public, which would affect the budget less?

Honestly, if we’re experiencing a shortage of oil, is there a better way to drive up demand than to artificially cut the price of gas?

We’re not. The rest of the world is experiencing a delay of delivery.

Why are we emptying our SPR for the world’s benefit when the world doesn’t pay to refill it?

Tax tax tax - the government way

And just like clockwork, our resident Trump disliker does not agree with lowering taxes
