Worst season in history for the Astros. Hoping we are not headed for that kind of season. Other teams are struggling….misery loves company. Lol. Lots of baseball left. We were able to win 5 straight, so I still watch. Quote
rupert3 Posted April 14 Report Posted April 14 Six game hometand, Good time to regroup and win a few. I thought France pitched pretty good in relief. Quote
baddog Posted April 15 Author Report Posted April 15 Astros win 7-6. I need someone to explain that balk. They’re real subtle sometimes and I didn’t see it. rupert3 1 Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted April 15 Report Posted April 15 Astros are now 7-11. Same record they started the 2024 season. Quote
baddog Posted April 16 Author Report Posted April 16 2 straight. I broke out the champagne. Lol. Arighetti did well. Needs to stop hitting batters, but he had some good Ks. rupert3 1 Quote

rupert3 Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago Nothing said can describe what is going on right now. Just keep hoping somehow it will change to the better. Yankees or no Yankees that was a terrible loss. 12-4 Quote
spidersal Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago No pitching. Management, especially GM did nothing in offseason to help with pitching. Evidently the pitching coach is not very good. They may lead the majors in walking people. The bullpen may be the weakest in the majors and with Brown out no decent starters. May wind up in last place this season Quote
1989NDN Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Last night, LMJ just didn't have it. At times this season, he has pitched well. At other times, like last night, he just didn't have it and the hitters put the bat on the ball. 5 innings, 5 earned runs, the Yankees opened the game with three runs, and two long balls. Overall, not a good night for LMJ. He competed, he's not a quitter, and he doesn't sulk on the mound, but his "stuff" just wasn't there. The offense didn't do anything either. The crowd was probably 70/30 Astros over Yankees, but when the Yankees opened the game with three runs and then had back-to-back big innings in the sixth and seventh, those Yankee fans got loud. I hate when that happens. Yankees, Cubs, Rangers, and Dodgers fans can get loud at Minute Maid/Daikin Park. On to the next game. Let's go Astros! Win, lose, or blow-out, I'm sticking with you. Go Astros! Quote
