Wishful thinking as you would put it. 🙄

However you want to say it.  I told you what our problems are and what the results of this game will be.  So your attempt to rage bait isn’t going to work.

For the people in the back, BU running game has been pretty bad all year.  We can pass, and that’s probably about it.  IF our wr’s decide to want to catch the pass.

PA has had problems passing the ball, but can run it very well.

So when I say preparations, will PA get their passing game going?  Will BU get their running game going?  That will be the difference.  Based on the fact that our running game has been non existent all year and PA just started having passing issues the last few weeks, I give the nod to PA.

You mean the opposite of real football?

Lufkin 9th grade might beat yall.

I don’t keep up with them all that much because of the way LP brings kids up early. But, it was posted tonight on an LP page, so I thought I’d post. Looks like another good, young group coming up.

Yup. Yall, Lufkin, BU, WB and possibly Port Arthur Memorial got a good group moving up next season. I'd also watchout for GCM too.

If the transfer portal doesn’t hit LP too hard next year, they’re going to be loaded. Simon, Smith, Wells, Dieudonne, Wallace, most of the OL, and most of the D will return. I’d like to see them have a good PO run this year to carry the momentum into next year. They’re still upset over the embarrassment of losing a 35-14 halftime lead last year against Weiss. Very focused. I like the mix they have this year better than last. They’re running a 65/35 mix run/pass. It’s what they’ve needed for a long time. Just enough to keep people from stacking the box as much.

I missed adding the LP vs BU Freshmen score: LP 26 BU 6

Did you know that Simon, dieudonne, and Wallace are all from Baytown?

REWORK WITH ADDED POSSIBLE SCENARIO:

Looking at one possible scenario:

  • GCM 4-4 with a win over GB
  • BU 4-4 with a loss to PAM, and a win over RSS
  • BWB 4-4 with a loss to Lufkin, and a win over GB
  • Lufkin 4-4 with a win over BWB, and a loss to LP

This scenario would go to the district's 18 point max and staying points tiebreak rule as verified by Matt Stepp. IF this were to happen, the current point standings (point spreads between the 4 teams involved against each other) as I calculate them are:

  1. GCM +11
  2. BWB +7 (Owns tiebreak win over BU)
  3. BU +7
  4. Lufkin -25

Another possible scenario:

  • GCM 4-4 with a win over GB
  • BWB 4-4 with a loss to Lufkin, and a win over GB
  • Lufkin 4-4 with a win over BWB, and a loss to LP
  • RSS 4-4 with a win over BU

This scenario would also go to the district's 18 point max and staying points tiebreak rule as verified by Matt Stepp. IF this were to happen, the current point standings (point spreads between the 4 teams involved against each other) as I calculate them are:

  • Lufkin +12 to +29 possible
  • BWB +10 to -7 possible
  • GCM +7
  • RSS -29

Currently--according to Massey--GCM is favored over GB, BU is a 10 point favorite over RSS that will change if they lose to PAM to probably a one score game, BWB is favored by 8 over Lufkin, and favored over GB. So, a 4-way tie isn’t really way out there with 2 possible one score games between PO contenders still left to play.

The most likely finish--according to current Massey projections--is a tie for 4th between GCM & BU with BU advancing with a head-to-head win over GCM 24-21 in Week 7. No point system needed.

  1. LP 8-0
  2. PAM 7-1
  3. BWB 5-3
  4. BU 4-4
  5. GCM 4-4
  6. Lufkin 3-5
  7. RSS 3-5
  8. NC 2-6
  9. GB 0-8

NOTE: I didn’t do any other scenarios because of very large projected point spreads.

Now that we have another score in the books (Lufkin +10), I’ll redo numbers this morning and post the new scenarios.
