Any thoughts tonight folks? 😁

Been spoiled by LP’s OL the last couple of years. This year’s group is a work in progress. The D is just painful to watch right now.

My weekly rankings:

  1. PAM
  2. GCM
  3. RSS
  4. La Porte

PAM is obvious to me right now. Playing well, and handled their one tough opponent in PNG.

GCM & RSS I’m sliding up because they’ve won their games. This is still questionable to me because neither have played a schedule where I can really judge. Lee should be an easy win for everyone, and Alvin hasn’t had a winning season in almost a decade. But, both squads have won the games on their schedules without much trouble. So, I have to give them credit.

La Porte, I’ll still slot here. They’re 0-2. But, that’s with a young squad against the DCTF computer ranked #2 5A Crawford, and the #31 6A Deer Park. The OL still needs work, and to get the 2 injured back to full strength, and the D has got to start wrapping up. A lot of young players on the D that are going to have to grow up in a hurry.

Out of all the district teams, the Dawgs have played the toughest schedule by far, and I pretty much expected them to go winless so far. It’s yet to be seen if these tough matchups have helped the youngsters grow for district play. In 2024, they started out 0-3 against tough competition and wound up 10-4 with the close loss 24-21 late in the rematch to district mate Angleton in the Regional Finals. I’m hoping they can catch fire like that again still.

Not being funny, but who was in LaPorte district last year? Maybe that’s why they caught fire?? I still believe the will end up #2 in district, but I don’t see many blowouts from them

You think too highly of 9-5A. La Porte won 9-5A the last time they were in it in 2023 as well with PAM's come from behind win at home the only blemish. In 2024, LP and Angleton took out every 9-5A team they played. That being said, this year's version of LP is a lot younger on the OL & the D. There are very few senior starters, and all the skill players are underclassmen.

That's not what I asked nor care about. So Angleton was the only other real team in the district?

Nevermind, i'll do the work. Here is the big bad 11-5A of last year.

Pasadena=booty juice 56-0

Crosby=booty juice 52-6

new caney=booty juice 41-20

Kempner=booty juice 56-16

KWP=booty juice

Friends wood=decent, but not great 24-15 looks like they gave y'all hell.

Angleton good team, but had injuries-35-28 and you damn near lost that one.

so they caught this blazing fire playing garbage teams and surprised they got bounced out the PO's?? I know i'm not liked and that's ok, but anyone that knows football in this area KNOW those teams were TERRIBLE. The losses they got came from QUALITY  schools. Now they are actually playing teams that's decent or very good and getting run roughshod. yeah 9-5A the past two years been way more competitive chief. Now, Simon is special and even the WR, but that don't make the team world beaters. Laporte is getting exposed!! would not surprise me if GCM sneak y'all. I feel like maybe BU can get y'all too and then you probably miss the playoffs. Good luck.

You weren’t even talking about the correct year. LP went 0-3 to start the year in 2024 as I said. Then went on a 10 game run. Not last year.

I’d put Crosby and Friendswood against any 9-5A team not named PAM last year and feel pretty good about my chances.

Crosby wasn’t 52-6 last year. It was a one score game. You’re getting years mixed up. Also, Angleton wasn’t 35-28. Not wasting my time to check the rest.

I don’t have anything against you. But, you need to at least get your info right. You started out wrong from the get go.

okay, my bad...lets advance one year from that...same booty juice schools, same results!!! I'll post the scores. All of them are dubs...big surprise lol

57-21 FW

42-16 KWP

67-21 NC

28-21 Crosby lol

47-40 angleton, again a banged up angleton

63-14 Pasadena

Wooowww that's a killer district y'all WAS in. I can see why y'all were so high up to start this year...I standby wat I said. I think you know now that LaPorte might be in over their heads. I watched you from going to calling for the DC to now we not as good, we young, we got online problems, excuse excuse. you have crawfished back into your shell lol. it's cool. I was tired of how big an dbad Laporte was by others like Matt and Stepp and you. They really haven't did anything when you look at who they played. BIG FISH, SMALL POND. Now you in a big lake lol. this district might not be big and scary, but it's pretty even, better than that crap from which LaPorte come from. Buckle up butter cup lol

I haven’t changed my Whag at the district finish yet Forrest. Sorry about your inferiority complex.

I would agree they were ranked too high this year. Had to be because of the weapons on offense. Defense progressed from ok to bad towards the end of the year.  Also the loss of watson at LB was huge.  Hopefully the young defense can get better. Offense is trying really hard to not be one dimensional but thats impossible when your constantly playing from behind. Best of luck to LP though.

I think this year’s version of LP has a lot bigger upside than last year’s team. Last year, they were what they were and only went down.

They need to listen to P.J. O’Rourke. “When all else fails, get mean.” 😎💪

Agree the potential is there just got to come together. Hate to see 88 not be involved in the passing game. Did he get a full ride to pitt?

Yes. Not sure why he’s not being used except they need his blocking on the new OL. I’d almost like to see him on the D Edge sometimes if they’re not gonna use him more on O. He overpowers just about everyone he lines up against. Man child rushing the backfield with the agility and speed to create havoc. 😂

I didn’t realize Godbolt-Carr had transferred also until a week ago. He was a solid slot man.

Never heard of a blocking TE getting a full ride. Unless they have other plans for him at another position. At this point why not? No different than an OL playing both ways.

Look what TA&M did with Albert Regis. Reynolds is way more athletic, and Regis is in the pros.

6’4/240/4.6-4.7 speed rushing your QB…

Wouldn’t even have to teach him much. Put him on the edge & say “mow down the dude in front of you and get the guy with the ball!”

(Maybe what Pitt has in mind.)

Remind people of Hoza.
