QB1 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago As far as the attitude and character of Orangefield's team, yes they had some immature moments for sure. If you have watched them lately or been around the team at all you would see that Whitmire has done a pretty good job of getting those situations in check. The boys understand what they've done wrong and how it affects the team and have done a good job of improving their behavior and correcting their mistakes. This team, on paper and on the court, have proven that they can play ball. They get better, as a cohesive unit, every week and are really playing great team ball right now. Go look at the stats and check out the assist column for sure. Jaden Scales is arguably the best player in this area and the best player Orangefield has had in a very long time. His vision, shooting ability, and comprehension of the game is unmatched. He's a great leader and teammate. Yes, they average 79pts per district game, and maybe that does come from playing in a weaker district, but the fact they hold their opponents to under 42 points a game great. Their defense is smothering. Their conditioning is unmatched. They are sprinting the floor in the fourth quarter while the other team is walking. Another great quality is the depth. They can sub in 4 at a time keep on clicking if they wanted to. Am I biased, sure. But the facts are what they are. They are fun to watch and they are great group of kids. If you haven't had a chance to watch them play, I highly encourage you to come out and do so. They have Hardin tomorrow night and Kountze on Tuesday to finish up district. Both are at home. You won't be sorry. Quote
