They also gave up over 300 yards on the ground. Orangefield’s pressure on the quarterback had something to do with the turnovers as well. Take the L. Anytime Orangefield wins a big game someone has excuses.

OF had 313 rushing yards

Just curious, how many yards did EC give up on the ground?

A lot of people in Orangefield support the athletic bond too, so it should be interesting to see how it plays out. Part of it is parking lots, which we need pretty badly. Much of the discussion has been about missed practice time compared to other schools especially in baseball.

The 22-23 group had more muscle down low and could match up better with Hitchcock’s big guys. Not taking anything away from Willis, (who has been excellent btw) but Maddox and Sampson were built to throw their weight around inside more for the half court grind it out kind of game such as the one with Hitchcock that year. And that was a great team, but as far as more athletic, I have to respectfully disagree. There’s never been a WHOLE team from Orangefield that could run the floor, move the ball, and defend all night long like this current group. Glad to see the attitude situation getting better. Give these guys credit, they are winners and definitely making a name for themselves this year while getting better every week.

Kaleb Menard - Orangefield LB #9

Anyone seen anything about this? Was curious which OF boys made it this year

Not sure of any suspensions but haven’t seen any. There’s a couple of players that I would say have around 5 a piece (guessing). Mainly talking to refs, cussing, cussing at players/fans. Hopefully they can reel it in because it’s definitely gone a little too far and folks in town aren’t proud of it.

There’s no discipline or accountability. Not even a little bit. I think it’s a perfect storm of the mixture of kids that are there now with the fact that the coach is really passive with the kids. On top of that the leadership roles on the court are ones getting the technicals.

Tech was on #13. I’m not sure exactly what happened after, but when it cut off it was 44-30 Orangefield. I do know there was another technical on Orangefield in the fourth.

They certainly don’t have much discipline this season when compared to past groups. I’ll leave it there.

If they are shooting it well I would pick Kountze. Nothing against Silsbee of course, but if Kountze is shooting it well it’s gonna be tough.
