Woodville isn’t going to do much for Babin’s stock. He’s showcased all he can at Woodville. Playing 6A football competition may up his stock. He could up his NIL value or have a few more doors open to him. Don’t blame the kid or his parents for looking out for his best interest.

Sounds like he is transferring for athletic reasons.

What did all that do for Brady Barrier?

Go from being a big fish in a small pond to just another fish in the ocean.  Staying at Woodville has definitely not hurt his recruiting - the offers speak for themselves.  It has also bolded well for the numerous Woodville and Newton athletes that have played college football over the last decade.  The "6A makes your stock rise" argument is ridiculous.

You aren’t wrong… But 6A can make your stock rise… not a guarantee though. He will definitely have better resources at his disposal to become better

I don't think a Babin has ever complained of a "lack of resources" 🤣

I mean I believe he earned a scholarship to Mcneese… Helped lead Barbers Hill to the 4th round of the playoffs.. So seems like it went well for him.

He already had D1 offers before he went to Barbers Hill. He didn't have to go to Barbers Hill just to land at Mcneese. And he might have done just as well had he stayed at Hardin.

Not so much about "stock". Its more about experience against a much higher level of competition. 6A experience will pay off later at Baylor.

Also how many of the numerous athletes from Woodville and Newton in the last 10 years were going to play QB at a D1 school?

Newton is not a passing team and Woodville just recently started implementing the pass more like 5 or 6 years ago. Babin is only the 3rd qb to come through since then. There are plenty big time d1 QBs that come from small schools though. Colt McCoy is the first that comes to mind. If you can play you can play. Real scouts know it when they see it regardless of what level your playing at
