Craig Stump is leaving the sidelines. Coaches and students were informed before the Christmas Break his intentions to retire.

Not too surprised. He had a good run there. Won a couple district titles and made a few regional championships. But I think he took the program as far as he could.

Been expecting this for a year. Assume he was taking one more chance while he had C Mack. He's 61 with plenty of years to get full retirement bennies.

Atascocita is no longer open after naming former Desoto and Woodlands College Park coach Kyle Coates as it's next head coach. He led College Park to a 12-1 record last year and a trip to the 3rd round of the playoffs.
