People like to say “we’re a Christian Nation” and they’re wrong. We’re a nation where we’re free to be a Christian. Or not. You can be Athiest, Hindu, or even one of those Muslims if you want. We haven’t ever been a nation where Catholics and Protestants bombed each other. And I hope it stays that way. Both political parties recognize that tribalism is the best way to get people to vote. The border crisis during the Biden administration was a powerful motivator that the right used to win elections over the last couple of cycles. Now that it’s over, they’re trying to use Islam as the scapegoat. Banning certain religions is as unconstitutional as it gets. Quote

Not when said religion tries to invoke their own rules or laws which contradict the laws of our nation. Islam is the only religion guilty of setting their own rules over others. I did not… but I agree that a religion that tried to invoke rules or laws which are contrary to our laws aren’t valid, period. But my argument doesn’t change. We’re free to worship and live under whatever religion or rules that we wish… but you can force anybody else to live under yours, either. Whether we’re talking about enforcing Sharia Law, banning pornhub, forbidding gay marriage,or outlawing abortion. Quote
