Great job by the Eagles! Big one next week …one game at a time. Coach Simper has taken a team the returned 3-3 to round #3! A lot thought we were done when Abseck left, but he’s sitting for round #3 😎

Other than that stupid tush push play, I felt the staff finally called a really, really good game on both sides of the ball.

As far as Barrier goes, tonight by far was his BEST game all year. 
 

Congrats BH on a solid game…enjoy it and get busy for next week. Watching Weiss dismantle Lufkin after their 1st round game…scary!

Excellent game by the Eagles. One game is just one game and one season is one season, but Cody Simper seems to be a great fit at BH. I love the halftime adjustments the staff makes. The BH defense smothered AA in the 2nd half, and the BH offense found the ground game in the 2nd half. I doubt too many people thought BH would be playing post Thanksgiving especially after back to back losses early in district, but here we are. Total team effort tonight. 

Friendly note to the Beaumont media. BH is closer to Beaumont than teams like Jasper and Newton who gets lots of coverage, but tonight BH was not even mentioned on 6 or 12. Instead there was follow up on yesterdays WOS-Robinson game. BH and PAM are the two teams still alive from the local 5A-1 district. Seems to me it would not be too hard to at least mention BH won and is going into the 3rd round.

Yeah it's always been that way. I know it's a trite thing to say but it's true. The Trinity River seems to be the dividing line for both Beaumont and Houston media and their readership/viewership, even in this digital age.

I think it has to do with media coverage area that gets Beaumont channels. We’re in a weird area. 40 minutes to downtown Houston and 50 minutes to Ford Park. Our local channels are Houston as you know.

I get both Houston and Beaumont channels.

I think any team that's in the same district as PAM, WB, and BU ought to at least have a second round score mentioned. I get they probably won't send a TV crew, but they can easily pick up a score on their phone. JMO.

Vype Houston & Houston Inside High School Sports both cover Crosby & BH. Both media outlets consider y'all GHA teams. I've also seen both mentioned on the local TV stations. Y'all are pretty much the end of the road heading east though.
