How big is your house? My house is 3300 square feet and my light bill in the summer is 350. I live in Houston and we have more than one energy company so we get to shop around to find the best rates.

I know some people who live in Houston and they tell me that can be a pain in the you know what. Your house is way bigger than my needs, actually, so is mine. I do like the space for my antiques, which I use, not cover with a sheet.

I’m stuck with Entergy. I can’t imagine shopping around.

For the size of your house, that is not a bad bill.

I'm single and mine is 1700 sq ft and highest in summer is 200ish.

I do wish we had options.

Insulation is key and so is plenum size, proper ductwork, and unit tonnage…..any one of which can produce terrible results. 1700 sq ft is the perfect size.
