I didn’t read all four pages, but has anyone explained how our political leaders continue to get paid during a government shutdown?

They still get paid. Someone had a bill making it where congress doesn’t get paid during a shutdown. That could curb some resistance. Of course, DOGE cut some of their payroll. Lol

Did the Republicans offer a replacement?   The last time they did was in 2017.  Since then, there efforts have shifted away from complete overhaul.

The shutdown shouldn’t be about Obamacare. That’s not till Dec. 31.  The government shut down because Dems would not vote to extend a bill they had voted for in the past. It’s a clean bill, meaning no junk. Dems wanted healthcare for illegals, which is junk. Republicans said no. End of story.
