My mother died in 2019 at the ripe old age of 95. She never saw the inside of a nursing home and could still get around with a walker. She still would try and take a switch to you if you got smart.

That's great. You are definitely blessed. My dad only lived to be 81, that makes me very sad. He died Jan of this year.

Sorry to hear. 81 is a long life. I don’t foresee anyone being kicked out of nursing homes.

I completely agree.  If you have family members that are there please make your rounds and at least give staff the impression that someone is always looking over their shoulders.  You have to be that voice.
