Who is “they”?

I’ll answer your question with a question.

If you think real hard who do think was behind all of those takedowns? Or Are you questioning those takedowns didn’t happen?

I’m asking, “who is they”? “They” implies conspiracy and conspiracies theories require proof to be true. There are many, many more conspiracy theories than there are true conspiracies.

Everything’s a conspiracy until it’s not!

Trump!

Source: Protect Our Care

Healthcare is a top priority for most Americans, myself included. Over 8 million Americans lost coverage following Trump-GOP healthcare cuts, and millions more remain at risk. Additionally, you can't trust anything this guy posts—he lies constantly. Remember in 2024 when he repeatedly promised he wouldn't start any new wars? I wish you weren't so gullible.

Was this for the 4th of July only? Did Trump actually do this?

That’s good news. I don’t know how the government can tell a private company to lower prices but ok.

Did you know there is 278 Walmart Supercenters and 68 Sam’s in China? I wonder if they allow them to sell American made products in their stores.

I guess I’ll answer my own question. Yes China allows 5% of American made products to be sold in China Walmarts and Sam’s. A big ole 5%! Such a great American Company. Smh

60% of products in America Walmarts come from China. Sounds fair. Lol

So all of sudden Walmart going to take a loss on profit because Trump said so?

This whole price game is hilarious and what’s funnier is the people that fall for it.

I remember when I sold furniture for a living many years ago. There was a certain furniture store in Beaumont that would run a buy one get one free recliner sale. The night they closed before the sale they would literally markup all their recliners and then the next day they would run the buy one recliner get one free sale. It always amazed me how many people would fall for that stunt. There is probably at least two people on this forum that went in and bought a recliner to get one free. Lol

I said all that to say let’s run up inflation and then when a few crumbs are thrown our way let’s celebrate it. Lol

I am still waiting on my tariff tax check to compensate what we’ve paid out since tariffs started. Oh let’s not forget the DOGE checks or did that go towards the Iran War? Lol

Walmart isn't lowering prices out of the goodness of their hearts. They're losing market share to Kroger again as the new Kroger CEO knows WallyWorld inside and out. He's the one who built them into what they are now.

The new grocery wars should help us all as they battle it out.

Incidentally, I bought Kroger stock almost 10 years ago at a little less than $20. It's done nothing but go up since. Nice, safe play in a defensive stock that's tripled in value during that time. I don't think people know how big Kroger really is, and what stores are actually Kroger.

IMHO, Kroger branded items are some of the best around. I like many of them better than the name brands. Plus, they own their own dairy farms that supply their dairy products direct.

Add in their gas rewards program (or you can choose grocery coupons), and you can do pretty well. One of the secrets--if you're going to frequent a place that has gift cards that are sold at Kroger--is to buy them with no upcharge, and get Kroger's 4x fuel points for buying what you're going to use anyway, and save up to $1/gal on your gas. Easy way to load up on fuel points quick. A $25 gift card to Subway--or wherever--gets you 100 fuel points, or .10/gal off on gas up to 35 gallons. Every 100 points is .10/gal off up to $1/gal.

If you're a Top Tier gas buyer only--not needed unless your car is really exotic--Kroger gas follows EPA standards as far as quality. Just put in a bottle of Techron at every oil change if you have any qualms. You'll still save a bunch, and your engine will probably be better off with the occasional Techron anyway.

Prices coming down sounds good to me.

Sounds good to me as well. Of course, the companies that are lowering prices back down to ‘near pre-tariff levels’ are using their big, fat tariff rebate checks they received—that we payed for—to lower their currently raised prices on a small number of select items. Good marketing for them though.

Just something to remember.
