I think your definition of "competing" is much different than everyone else's definition of "competing".

IMO (and most anybody's) making the conference tourney finals is competing. Finishing 2nd or 3rd in the regular season standings is competing. Not competing would be finishing in the bottom half of the standings.

Would everyone here love for Lamar to win championships and make NCAA tourneys? Of course. But your take that Lamar has to win championships in order to be competing is absolutely wrong and so unrealistic.

I honestly believe that Lamar is heading in the right direction under this AD.

Yes Lamar is improving in football, basketball, and baseball until they play in the conference tournament Then they tend to stink it up. Your goal should be to win conference championships and make it to postseason games. Yes they are improving 2nd or 3rd is better than 8th or 9th, however you are judged by making it to postseason play and as of today it is not happening 

For Txhoops 63-54 in basketball is a blowout

That last statement is so comical. Completely tells us your knowledge (lack thereof) of the game. 

You do realize that a 9 point win is just a 3 possession game which many teams have lost those leads in less than a minute of game time. Hardly a blowout.

Now if you want to say a 9 run win in baseball is a blowout, then you would be accurate in stating that. But basketball, that's a joke.

You should also be advised not to debate basketball knowledge with TxHoops.

That game was 3 points at half and was nip and tuck in the second half until late when Lamar was forced to foul and free throws widened the final margin.  AS IS OFTEN THE CASE IN BASKETBALL.  Anyone who has any knowledge of the game, or actually knows what they are looking at when watching the game, knows this.  Someone who likes to wager on the game, has benefitted or been screwed by late game free throws in an otherwise very tight game routinely.  That’s basketball.  Which you continue to make very evident you have virtually know understanding of.  I am guessing you also ask the person sitting next to you at a game, if you have ever attended one, why free throws are free?

The sad news is y’all think they are good and let’s remember that they are in one of the weakness D1 conferences in  the NCAA

I do agree that they belong in the SLC and that they have improved, however they are not what I would call good

We have poor specialsal reeling now that he’s been exposed as a clueless mom in the stands.  It’s okay little guy.  We all can’t know everything about everything.  I know you probably have your areas of expertise too…I have no doubt you would destroy us in Real Housewives trivia.
