silsbee/ jasper

silsbee only lost 2 starters and a pitcher

the other pitchers have a lot of experience and mcdonald is one of the best

the catcher has been filled in nicely by steven bird

and center field has a lot of options in which to choose from

silsbee brings a lot of speed to the table and a lot of talent

too many weapons not be a selection

whre is Bridge City??

Im not sure about 22-3A......

Shepherd should get better from last year

Tarkington will be good like always

Splendora..im not sure but I think they have a couple of good pitchers back

Liberty lost some seniors but nothing they cant replace, should be in the mix

That sounds dead on. but I wonder if Kingwood park will be competitive?

im pretty positive Kpark will be competitive...

If you look at Kingwood High School you can tell they will have alot of talent...in this case I dont think that the age diffrence will matter....besides the fact that most of the teams in 3a have alot of freshman and sophmores on varsity anyways.

I am afraid it's just wishful thinking to try to project H-J into the equation with BC & Jas.  These are your polling-#1 & #2 teams in the state for 3A to begin the season.  H-J will be lucky to compete with OF and  H-F this coming season.

That could very well be the most idiotic thing that ive ever heard....HJ only lost two key players last year and anybody that we lost is replaceable, and has already been replaced... The top two teams in this districe and HJ then Jasper!

Who won any big games besides Treece? Both Jasper and BC have returning players who have won the big games. I'm sorry, but none of your returning players are the caliber that Treece was. HJ will not be in the top two in their district.

Well last time i checked HJ was 2-0 and Jasper was 1-1 so right now the top 2 teams in 21-3a are BC and HJ

"LCM: LCM has enough pitching to dish some out to every team

and still have more than every other team. Thompson is a very

talented lefty, Matt Johnson is also very good, and has a bat

to go along with it. LCM won district last year which means

everyone wants to beat them that much more. They have a

solid chance to win district this year and need to take

advantage of it."

Actually, Thompson is a very talented RIGHTY...lol

LCM's pitchers are:

Tim Barry

Danny Briseno

Dallas Brown

Stefan Cloeren

Matt Johnson

Ben Jones

Stephen Maldonado

Taylor Thompson

Shane Waddell

the list is alphabetical...in case you didn't notice...lol

I'll let you find out abilities and who the lefties and righties are during the season...

Sounds like a plan Eagle...but I won't forget about the regular season, and the fine crop of teams we will have to battle to get there...

The next couple of years will be full of amazing pitchers.

Hester who no doubt in my mind will be the best along with hicks.

Lcm has a handfull with johnson, waddell, brown, berry, gonzales, and cloeron.

Orangfield has two excellent pitchers as well.

So many more to be named in these years to come.

Well, looks like LCM got taken down a few notches tonight with just our two pitchers Todd and Harrington.  By the way, we have a long list of pitchers that haven't seen the field yet.  We will have strong arms as we move forward in district.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
