The playoff road begins tonight for the Silsbee Tigers as they take on the Jasper Bulldogs in Class 4A Bi-District action!   Michael Nelson's Tigers, 22-4 on the season, earned the #2 seed out of District 22-4A, while Stephen Westbrook's Bulldogs, 13-13 on the season, earned the #3 seed out of District 21-4A.

Game 2 (and 3 if necessary) of this series will start at 4:00 pm tomorrow in Jasper.  The winner of this series will face the winner of the Huffman Hargrave/Houston North Forest series.

These two teams have had three common opponents this year. Bridge City, WOS, and Taylor. 

                         BC.        WOS.       Taylor

Jasper.             1-3.        2-1.           0-1

Silsbee.            2-0.        0-2.           1-0

Tough young man.  (Said it didn't hurt that bad but ball ended up in right field after hitting him. lol.)

Three walks to start the 7th and then the gates just opened.

Jasper played very well considering the errors early.

Today should be interesting.

I don't care what he says ...  that hurt ... swole up pretty good by the time he got to the house

      He wasn’t fired, he was reassigned and people get reassigned all the time. If he was actually fired, then you would have a point, but he wasn’t fired. Based on the information presented here no way this would stand if they fired him and he lawyered up.

      I heard the assistant was going to get this job and assume it was referring to the old Vidor coach, Nate Smith.  I always thought he did more with less at Vidor and can't help but think he shares some responsibility in Vidor's recent success.

      Classic Bridge City.  Always someone else's fault, refs/umpires cheated, AD with an agenda, yada, yada, yada.  As far as I can tell it's damn near impossible to get fired at these schools so when someone does get fired, it's usually something.  Drama at Bridge City is a constant.  The guy did a good job coaching basketball and I'm sure he'll continue that somewhere else.  Time to move on.
