Halftime

Hardin Hornets 23

EC Bucs 17

Nobody from Beaumont or Houston news is here covering this game between state ranked #25 EC lady Bucs and the Lady Hornets who have a 10 year playoff steak going. Absolutely absurd.

3 minutes ago, Speaker said:

A little dose of humility served up by Hardin should serve as an adequate vaccine to innoculate the Lady Bucs from any future arrogance that may come from finishing the District with W's.

Both programs will have success in the playoffs, in my opinion. We played like poo when you guys beat us in the first district game at y'alls place. And tonight I am sure you guys didn't play your best. But, for years these two programs have been at the top in all 3 sports in southeast Texas.

    • Phelan won’t be Speaker again… SETX neutered themselves.
    • He did?  Thanks, I need to look at the results again; about 15 mins ago it was almost 50:50 (again).   Anyway, I'm sure not going to miss the daily stack of postcards and fliers in my mailbox.  Wow, I don't recall ever seeing anything like it. As far as Phelan, the runoff was his wake-up call I think.  Of course this just means that he gets to run in the November election.  Reportedly (per the Beaumont News, and perhaps Houston news as well), Democrats were cross-voting in the primary, in favor of Phelan.  It ain't the first time.  (I had to post this twice; what a drag. BTW I went and looked, and indeed, the race has been called in favor of DP.)

    • Didn’t they go to state like two years before he got there?
