robanadana Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 So, our area needs to support the decision and pack the stands. It would be great to see a Region 3 championship in Beaumont because teams like playing here. Otherwise, football pretty well leaves our area after bi-district even with our teams involved. I may stay home for this one just because WOS is gonna handle Caldwell. Quote
OldBuc77 Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 I'm going to be at this one since I'm going to be in the area for Thanksgiving.Good game and close by...can't pass that up.Maybe I will get a chance to meet some of y'all and put a face with the ID on here. RaiderGirl2010 1 Quote
RattlerBlue Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 Yes, Surratt was being an *** about the location for whatever reason. Navasota does travel very well; however, the weather will determine just how many show up on Friday. BTW, most will take 105 to Beaumont. It's a pretty easy drive for Navasota as well. Quote
Uncle Pig Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 Beaumont??? I don't think so.According to mapquest, it's 2 and 1/2 hours from Navasota to Beaumont. RattlerBlue Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 (edited) Might check your fact your coach refused lufkin only wanted Houston area He's a smart man... Houston area as in Conroe? Huntsville, which is 30 North of Conroe? Porter? Carthage has had no problems with playing West Columbia (I believe) and Stafford in Porter.  So, tell me, what makes the Houston area a problem now? Pepper Brooks Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 Pulling for Navasota in this one.As a great pontificator once said "to be the man, you have to beat the man" and Navasota is the man for now. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up Quote

MossHill Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 Why would your coach refuse lufkin which was bout as close to halfway as it gets This is exactly what Surratt told us, last Wednesday about Lufkin. That's when he stated we'd be playing in Beaumont. The exact location was undecided between Provost and some "other" stadium but we knew Beaumont. We are the visiting team, again. Go figure! But, we'll take it. Quote
RattlerBlue Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 Doesn't matter. A beating is a beating. Now how do you want it since where you want it has been decided? Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 Awww dang it, last time Carthage came to LU it rained a bit smh, ironically enough they were the visiting team too. Oh well, I'll be on the Carthage side blending in with red on. robanadana and RaiderGirl2010 2 Quote
robanadana Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 It's approximately 2 1/2 hours for both teams. Navasota right down 105; Carthage right down 96. Navasota makes one left turn off 105 to get to the Butch, Carthage stays straight on 96 until it turns into IH10. Quit complaining and let's play football! Quote
Bansheefan Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 Navssota seems to be the only one complaining hope they bring more fans then the last time we played them Quote

EnjoyLife Posted November 24, 2015 Report Posted November 24, 2015 Navasota has earned that #1 ranking and deserves to be the favorite...but dont let Carthages 3 losses fool you. They will be a very formidable opponent. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
