Nederland was going sub .500 in JV play for most of their undefeated district run, so we don't put too much stock in sub varsity, but I will say that it doesn't hurt to have what appears to be depth in the program.

I think most will say that they put a reasonable amount of stock in the Freshman results as indicators... JV, not so much.

My understanding is that Nederland's sophomore class is pretty strong, they handled Dayton pretty well last year as freshman.

Yes=no wonder practice makes varsity look good,sadly we're losing our crowds as bleeding continues,weakest turnout ever @fresh level too,used to field A & B team.Imma put it out there varsity fb better have extended season,BB,Baseball is a almost complete re-build

Lumberton Won 14-0.  Lumberton was split into an A and B teams.  A team played Barbers Hills B JV and won 14-0 B lost to Evadale JV

The Dayton Freshmen A-Team won something like 36-20, the scoreboard was out with electrical problems, but should be fine tonight.  The B-TEAM went over and played at Tarkington, so ease up a little bit LilTex, there were two Dayton Freshmen teams that played last night.

This JV team is extremely down talent wise from any group that has come through Dayton in a long time.  This group of Sophomores have never been on the winning side for a season.  The good news is, the sophomores are sandwiched between a pretty good Jr. class with skill, and an above average freshmen class.

this needs to be his last year. He's not developing players (no QB) since Stew. Time to move on, imo.
