I guess it's a good sign if they made improvements on both offense and defense in the second half. But they're going to have to put more points on the board if they're going to compete for a playoff spot. Who scored the TD's?

Duke scored the first TD and I believe it was Adams that scored the second. I could be wrong on the Adams TD, but it was a rushing TD. The defense looked good, but you are right about scoring more points. The defense won't hold too many teams in our district to 12 points.

Yes, it was Adams.

Game film will give them lots to work on next week. That's what you want in these non-district games.

Duke had 10 catches on abour 30 targets. He was the only 1 the Qb Hamm was looking at 97% of the time.  With Hamm at Qb the Tomball team stop the read option dead in its tracks. GCM didnt run it any in the 2nd half.

They ended up putting big ole 77 in on defense in the second half some. he make a heck of a play on one of the goal line stand plays.

Next week is going to be interesting to see how they will stop the run.

Agree on Hamm. Central DB's would have had 2 pick 6's in the 1st half. He was just not throwing with conviction. Much better in 2nd half, but he looks Duke down on almost every pass play.

RSS is not the running team they were last year. Thankfully those two guys are gone. They are big up front, probably bigger than Tomball.

I was very pleased with GCM's defense. They were on the field a long time in the 1st half and came back and made a game saving, goal line stand in the 4th.

M. Duke

10 catches for 131 yds  and 1 TD (2nd TD called back due to a holding penalty)

H. Hamm

16-26, 222 yds, 1 TD, 2 INT

S. Adams

13 rushes for 56 yds and 1 TD

Duke is going to be a problem for DBs in 22-5a.

yall have no other WRs?

Yet to find that out yet...

#18 caught a pass that was just thrown up.. Could have went either way and could have been Pass Interference either way.

My only concern is it really looks as though we are going to have a sub par run game or at-least 1 dimensional.  I am sure the teams we face the rest of the way except Baytown Lee will have better athletes on defense then Tomball did and they made our run game 1 dimensional. Qb runs were no where to be found like Duke was busting off last year.
