From 2010-2013 they were 26-4 in some of the toughest districts in the state. They've been to the playoffs for probably a decade straight and pump out numerous d1 players. They're doing this with an enrollment probably only 100 kids over the 5A limit. Other than Allen, NOBODY in the state beats Trinity and Carroll on even a semi-regular basis. That's why they're Trinity and Carroll! I guess you shouldn't take a job at Coppell, Hebron, Desoto, Skyline or Mansfield either since they can't beat some of the best teams in the country on a consistent basis. Your posts are naïve at bests, smh. Quote
Cougar14.2 Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 they have good players, they're in a very tough district. This will be a challenge for Willis.Their district is tough for this re-alignment. The UIL put Coppell, Carroll and Trinity all in the same district which usually doesn't happen. The majority of the last decade CH has actually been the runner-up in district play. Remember Cedar Hill and Trinity were trash before McGuire and Lineweaver got there. Lineweaver won a title and played for two or three more at 3A Commerce before he jumped two divisions and turned Trinity into the powerhouse it is today. Willis leaves a Cedar Park program in Leander ISD that splits district resources with probably 5 other big high schools to go to Heritage which is the crown jewel of Colleyville ISD. Heritage is all-in, if he can really coach he can compete for 6A D2 titles the same way he competed for 5A D2 titles at Cedar Park. Quote
