Uncle Pig Posted April 8, 2015 Report Posted April 8, 2015 I wonder how many parents will still transfer their kids…… Nobody. Have you seen the clientele that lives in LaMarque?? Quote
Texasminuteman Posted April 9, 2015 Report Posted April 9, 2015 I don't think anyone in the area would want the riff raff that comes out of there going into their districts. Racist and undisciplined. And that's the parents Im talking about. Quote
bjimbo Posted April 9, 2015 Report Posted April 9, 2015 All of Galveston County is the same, doesn't matter if it's Dickinson, Texas City, or Ball High. La Marque can't hire good teachers so smart parents are sending their kids elsewhere as they should. TC should absorb LM so that those kids can remain on the same campus just like HISD did Northforest. As far as the the district remaining open, it is just enough hope to get through the school year until doomsday July 1st. LM can still line up and smash most SETX schools on the field, just not in the classroom. It really is unfortunate. Quote

And from what it seems if La Marque doesn't pass they will go through the same thing Beaumont is doing with board of managers. The only difference is beaumont can never be shut down while La Marque can but TEA won't for at least 20 years considering Hutchins and North Forest. TEA announced 3 schools were closing yet none actually will with the other 2 being perfectly fine in terms of financial and academic stability, other things not so much. They are just bluffs. Quote
