GATA! Posted September 20, 2014 Report Posted September 20, 2014 Who you got and why? Newton-44 Orangefield-13 Quote
kcat-fan Posted September 20, 2014 Report Posted September 20, 2014 Newton 39-27 OF has good size and aren't great, but descent enough to score on Newton just not enough. Jmo Quote
rykerx144 Posted September 20, 2014 Report Posted September 20, 2014 This will be a good game to guage where Newton is right now. I expect Newton by 30. GATA! 1 Quote
GATA! Posted September 20, 2014 Author Report Posted September 20, 2014 Orangefield 34 Newton 32.......sounds like a good game Quote
texas13 Posted September 20, 2014 Report Posted September 20, 2014 .......sounds like a good gamethis is going to be a good one. I might be wrong which I am often, but I think it will be. Quote
TxHoops Posted September 20, 2014 Report Posted September 20, 2014 Newton 39-27 OF has good size and aren't great, but descent enough to score on Newton just not enough. Jmo This sounds about right IMO. I was thinking more like 40-21 but somewhere in that range. Quote
NewtonNation Posted September 21, 2014 Report Posted September 21, 2014 Coming into this matchup last season both teams were 2-0 and on a roll. This year with different schedules both teams have 2 losses. Should be a fun and physical game. I think the Eagles come out on top again this year. Good luck to both teams. Quote
GATA! Posted September 22, 2014 Author Report Posted September 22, 2014 I think orangefield had a better chance at beating us last year with the set of backs they had than this year despite the score from last year, I know we my not seem as good as last year but again our schedule is a lot diffrent, .......44-13 Newton Quote
jimmyw Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 I think the last Orangefield beat Newton was in 1988. I like Newton 35-14. Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 Newton 33 OF 24 Over/under for combined pass attempts: 10 Prediction: First offensive play for OF, they come out in shotgun and 5 wide. Newton calls timeout. ;) ;) :D :D mytwocents-28 1 Quote
NewtonNation Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 We just played a spread team, no timeouts needed. Quote

AggiesAreWe Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 I wasn't suggesting that Newton was "scared" of 5 wide. My point was Newton being shell shocked with a Slot T team coming out in 5 wide. I guess the joke simply went over some heads here. mytwocents-28 1 Quote
BobCat22 Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 Hey believe it or not but Orangefield has had a passing TD in each of its last two games. I think AAW might be on to something. Quote
rykerx144 Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 they might have played the spread last week but I promise you they didnt work on the spread this week and if Ofield comes out in the spread there will be a timeout called a alot of head scratching Quote

Footballer06 Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 Is Newton down this year or just playin good competition?? Quote
Back2swag Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 Good competion , Newton good and getting better every week. They should end up 7-3 going into playoffs . Tatum Henderson and WOS are all ranked in 4a Quote
Bobkat Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 Newton is Newton, they'll make the playoffs and go 3 or 4 rounds deep like they always do. I believe Orangefield has a chance if they can get a couple stops here and there. With that said we'll have to score every time we have the ball and that'll be tough as well. I hope my Cats pull off the win, but I'm looking at this game as similiar to the Kirbyville game for us, probably 34 to 21 type of game. I was on that team that beat Newton back in 88, Orangefield ended up winning district that year and lost to state ranked HF in the area round at The Reservation in a close one. Quote
JacksonslaDe05 Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 Don't sleep on this years 'Cats. If they can keep from turning the ball over this one should stay close. Bobcats are a hard team to figure out this year. Looked awful @ Buna, but seemed to have turned the corner. Plus from what i hear they have gotten a couple key players back from injury. Team to watch imo. OF homecoming too btw. Newton-38 OF-32 Quote
NewtonNation Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 Been a long time since Newton was a homecoming game. Quote
Back2swag Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 Homecoming lol , that's bad for yall .. Newton will be out to prove something this week .. I don't think they are to happy with the 1-2 record . 48-14. Second team by 4thqrt Quote
