skipper Posted June 12, 2014 Report Posted June 12, 2014 this will be a fun year for the mustangs, with both qb back and a large ol in front of them maybe we will see more running from both of them than last year Quote
One4All Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 QB shouldn't run the ball....That's why they have running back in Football. ... Quote
chukslegacy Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 Should be an interesting season! I noticed that there is only like 4 or 5 district games. Wow! skipper 1 Quote
skipper Posted June 13, 2014 Author Report Posted June 13, 2014 the mustange have changed up a few things becouse of the speed and and the power of both qb. mustange faithfull know both kids have good arms that was seen last year but with the big cats up front it will make more room for then to take off if needed so.the mustangs hope this will be a more of a ball control team as we have seen in the years past. skipper Posted June 13, 2014 Author Report Posted June 13, 2014 something new we will see a kid not sure of his name will be in the backfield on 2nd are 3rd on short yard he is about 235 pounds and can move going to be fun watching him Quote
77 Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 Stangs should be very powerful this year! skipper 1 Quote
UGK Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 Stangs should be very powerful this year! They will be very powerful until they run into a good team not from southeast Texas, then they will get beat...just like they do every year. Quote
skipper Posted June 13, 2014 Author Report Posted June 13, 2014 UGK i will remind you of this after christmas Quote
One4All Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 I don't realize WOS had two Power QB...I guess you're referring to Sr.QB & Sophomore QB Quote
UGK Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 UGK i will remind you of this after christmasPlease do. I've heard the same thing since 1988. I see no reason it will change. Mustangs will beat all the crappy setx teams; Carthage, Navasota, Gilmer, etc. are too much for the ole Stangs. Quote
skipper Posted June 13, 2014 Author Report Posted June 13, 2014 first off the qbs power runners maybe you could say so the reason i said this both had over 500 yards last year and maybe a tich better this year . now for the mustangs getting beat it was called TURNOVERS and thats the truth it looks like every year in the playoffs it comes around and kicks there ass.its a little odd in the reg season turnovers was no problem strange Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 If you have 2 QBs you have no QB. Hope the Stangs stick with Sterling-Cole and not some type of rotation. One4All 1 Quote
skipper Posted June 14, 2014 Author Report Posted June 14, 2014 Mr Buddy both will be in the backfield at the same time unless cole goes to wr spot he is a large target and good hands Quote

77 Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 One thing to remember this year UGK is that the numbers and alignment has been adjusted and falls in the favor of the Stangs! jmo UGK 1 Quote

#62jjohnson Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 Two Qb's at wos Isnt cole one of the top qb in setx coming back this year? From what im reading it seems like its gonna be some type of qb controversy. Mr. Buddy Garrity and One4All 2 Quote
77 Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 dont believe there will be any controversy! Quote
kicker Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 1 starter for the whole season but 2 Qb's for 2 different looks. Nothing wrong with that. Can almost have 2 complete different offenses to make it that much harder to stop. Mr. Buddy Garrity and 77 2 Quote
VNUPE Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 Chester I don't know how y'all do it in Chester, but at WOS, the goal is state. Yes, we've gotten to the regional finals the last 3 years and lost (twice to the eventual state champion). However, because we are WOS, state is always a part of our conversation. People can hate all they want. But I don't see another team on this site talking about state. They would rather hate on the WOS fans for talking about it. I'd tickle me pink if y'all made it to AT&T stadium, but the fact remains that southeast Texas football is not that strong and will continue to struggle against non southeast Texas teams. Quote
77 Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 3 rounds deep last three years by the same school I would think was a pretty good showing. Its not like they were beat out by the same team every year!jmo VNUPE 1 Quote

Like I said, I hope they make it to Jerry world; there are just too many good teams outside of southeast Texas. 77 1 Quote
TxHoops Posted June 15, 2014 Report Posted June 15, 2014 I heard Texas Tech is on Sterling-Cole heavily. As far as UGK's point, I don't think all those teams he mentioned are in the same class, are they? Quote

As far as UGK's point, I don't think all those teams he mentioned are in the same class, are they? Only Gilmer. The others are higher. And on Cole, would be surprised if Texas AM wasnt on him either being that his dad is in the top 10 of best receivers to ever be an Aggie. He was the main Receiver on the Aggies only big12 championship in 1998. Mr. Buddy Garrity, Tiger33 and TxHoops 3 Quote
