I would have WF Rider at #5 (watchout for these guys ;)), TC at #6 (they are going to be good), and FB Marshall (who might have the best team in the region when all is done) at #7.

This looks to be a fair list, but I'm surprised no other District 19 team made the top 25. [s] TGSOT[/s] SC deserves the respect of a high ranking, but still needs to prove they can beat an equally matched (or higher) team. Coach Ford has won when SC had the distinct talent advantage. He's 0-2 (kick rocks in advance Garrity) in playoff games where SC met a solid competitor.  SC better focus on defense more this year. Not sure we'll be able to out score everyone. The bench just isn't as deep this year.

[/quote]IDK, Guyer was blown out twice last year while Cedar Park's two 5a losses were to semi-finalist austint westlake and and 3 point loss to abeliene cooper who has one of the most dynamic players in the state in lorenzo joe. i think cedar park is the katy of 4a, they can win d1 or d2 title. no way to ever know but i think cedar park would have gotten them. dawson has the most starters in the district coming back from playoff teams to i think they the favorites to represent region 3 in d1.

Vidor just needs to worry about beating Nederland.  Sounding highly unlikely ...but am pulling for you guys.  Vidor definitely gets the heart award.  Any team with kids the size of most middle schools that can still compete gets a big pat on the back.

I'm gonna trash talk as much as I can this year ...but SC needs to prove they can beat teams like Aledo, Cedar Creek, Guyer, etc.

Yeah before you go cutting that big piece of cake you might want to nibble on the edges and get past the teams before you get to Aledo, cedar creek, guyer Etc.... your putting the cart  before the horse.... before you get a shot at the title...  you have to earn your spot.... although DCTF has GIVEN you #7 you will need to earn the respect that #7 brings...

well, before they can do that, they gotta beat the teams that precede them. We will worry about Ned but maybe you should worry about someone in your district as well. you have seem to have forgotten that you have a season to play before the playoffs.

Those 1st and 2nd rounds are just as much about the luck of the draw as skill.  Had Ned or any other team in GT's path got GT 1st ...they're one and done.  Had Vidor lined up with a team like Tomball, Livingston, or a few others, they're onto the 2nd round.  Had Vidor got Ned in the 2nd round, its a toss up.  Vidor played those guys close and anything could happen in a rematch.  Ned could have been gone in round one or two ...but they drew favorable opponents.  SC could have been on to round three had they lined up against Angleton or Ned in the 2nd round.

I'm still not sold on the realignment.  It will amaze me to see SC get anywhere near 3,000 kids any time soon.  Just don't see it.  Humble/Atascocita WAS booming, but this has slowed down.  Another big community needs to pop up or some AHS kids will need to get zoned to [b]SC[/b] AND they'll have to actually attend SC.

I'm still not sold on the realignment.  It will amaze me to see SC get anywhere near 3,000 kids any time soon.  Just don't see it.  Humble/Atascocita WAS booming, but this has slowed down.  Another big community needs to pop up or some AHS kids will need to get zoned to AHS AND they'll have to actually attend SC.

Angleton ...HECK naw.  It would have been a game.  I saw Angelton play Tomball at Turner.  Angelton had some players (mainly one really good RB), but they let Tomball move the ball and hang around.  Was not impressed.  I would have taken Angleton over GT any day.
