Deunte Chatman doesn't complain about anything. He just wants to win and he is a team player. He can play multiple positions on the field so that makes him a  valuable asset.I think that he is one of the best athletes in Texas Class of 2015 that no one has  heard of yet. This time next year you will know about him for sure
Well see about that.
MTC, he's probably right. I know what YOUR saying though. Basically all he has to do is start next year and he should be able to make enough plays for some decent film. The taller he can get the more offers he'll receive because recruiters know in a couple years he's going to be 6-something and weigh in the mid to high 220s just like Allen. Before the Nike camp Dakota was considered strictly an inside lb, but after he ran good 40 for his position he was considered more versatile. That's important, especially if you play in a conference where you see a lot of spread offenses which means you have to cover TE's and RB's more than usual. It means you can play three downs. I don't know how good of a RB he'll be but LB or an Aaron Hernandez-like TE could be in play come offer time and he's going to be rated high no matter what because of how well he tests. I'm with you though My Two, put it on film.
Dakota is a great athlete, but I've yet to see him dominate a game from his position.  I was expecting a huge year from him last year.  He was solid, but there were others that out shined him for sure.  This year if he's not the kind of player that demands offenses to plan for him ...and if not a top defender in the state ...hmmmm?  Maybe a move to another position would be better.  He could be interesting at RB or TE.
Hope that works out for DeMarius at HBU. Now for Dakota, he has double digit offers so if you want to speak to someone about a position change for him I would suggest you speak with Colorado, Grambling ,Houston, Illinois, Iowa St, Kansas, Kansas State, La Lafayette, North Texas, Texas Tech, and TCU.
Thanks for posting that, im starting to think DemDawgs doesnt have a clue bout SC.  ::)

Wasn't impressed. But it's Spring Football. You have kids that just got from track a week and a half ago. A couple baseball players....the O line still need work, I expect them to be ready at end of the summer

I don't know, I thought the D-line looked good in pass rush and O-line wasn't terrible in pass protection (needs work, of course). O-Line looked strong blocking for the run, though I thought the defense didn't handle it too well. I thought a few second/third stringers made good plays. An you are right, they are still a bit rusty trying to get back into football shape, that's to be expected.

I attended.

I thought they looked somewhat the same, perhaps regressed on the defensive side of the ball.

QB: A+
Offensive line: C
RB:  B-  Note:  They have some kids playing the wrong position at RB
WR: C+    Note:  Run sub par routes, but are very quick and good overal athletic ability.  Need to learn to block down field better

Defensive Line: C+  (will struggle against larger defensive lines, lucky for them they have a QB that has a quick release....Wideouts that can fly....and they play in 4a where huge OL's are about as common as 6'5 300lbs freshman)
LB: A-
DB: B- (The Corners have a lot of work to do.  I saw a lot of technique that was just absent)

This team is athletic, but they are tremendously raw.  If the league improves over its poor showing last year, i would expect Summer Creek has a tougher time.  However, as it stands now they are the clear cut favorite. They look like they will pick up where they started last year.  The loss of the senior WR's will be interesting, because it is notably dropped off over last year.

They wasn't terrible but keep in mind, the QB wasn't getting sacked because of the whistle...I don't think they picked up 1 blitz....but I expect them to get better.

I attended ...will echo much of what the other attendees stated.

This coaching staff has proven they can really pull the guys together when its time to line up in August/September.

Just hoping they don't get to cocky and get stunned early by a hungry team.  They need to save the cockiness for ME.

hardy har har.    Obviously a typo.    But i meant to say they will have a problem against larger Offensive lines.    and lucky for them that they have an offense as athletic and potent as it is, because if they did not this defense would not stay fresh very long.  essentially, if you remove Aaron Sharp and a couple of wideouts...this team is not very good.    Its amazing what a couple of top tier D1 talents will do for your total output.

:-D well i couldn't pass it up.... i mean it just jumped out at me and said HEY LOOK AT THIS!!! :-D ... and it seems from what I read on here there are more holes in the SC program this year than expected.... did some upcoming talent move? or just not filling out like they thought they were?? or is there more rust then expected....

Well there is always going to be rust, same thing happened last year having to replace the entire O-Line for example but the inexperience is more spread out across the team. I think it will take a couple weeks into the season before they figure out where everyone performs best or helps the team best.

    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!

    • Come on dude, don’t take anything away from the kids on the field. If you want to talk uncharacteristic, we made what 3 or 4 errors in game one. Y’all had 2 EARNED runs.  Defense is normally our strong suit. Your ace didn’t strike out a single one of our kids. Like I said also, you did not out hit us in game 1. Hell you barley out hit us in game 2. We had all the uncharacteristic walks. Josh pitched a hell of a game is what made that game what it was.
