I don't think anyone has a problem with HJ rollin up in here tryin to represent.... I think the problem comes when the bashing starts on other schools. Especially the childish remarks and the cheap shots. We all have school pride, there's no doubt in that. If we didn't, we wouldn't spend hours on this website talkin noise and arguing our points.... so what's my point??......... All I'm sayin is, if I started talkin too much trash about HJ, my karma would be so low, I'd have to look up to see down, cause there's a lot of you hawk hecklers on here. he he.. So if you talk noise, expect feedback. Probably argumentative. Nobody wants anything bad said about their alma mater.... Just keep that in mind fellers. Good luck in the playoffs.

I think the administrators should be able to extend warnings, suspensions and expulsions to people on this site. This school pride is great, but jeez!! don't give out your numbers on this thing, and expect someone to actually call and the two of you chat over a cup of tea, like old chaps.... That's a little childish. But if you wanna talk some noise, call 1-800-mix-a-lot to kick dem' nasty thoughts... 8)

Yes you can talk all the trash you want in support of your team - I also agree that if you talk smack and your team loses be prepared to take it as well. Howver, supporting your team is not the same as badmouthing another team that you may or may not play. Every boy or girl that plays High School athletics does the best that they can - You don't need to make fun of them.

It is perfectly fine to support your school. I have been doing it since I graduated in 1991. I never take anything personal on any board. But some people don't take trash talking very well. And if you dish it out and lose you better be able to take it. HJ has alot of fans that are dishing it out pretty heavy right now (more importantly to teams that HJ is not even playing) so they better be ready if/when HJ loses!!! Hopefully HJ will be able to talk trash til the cows come home, but just be prepared if they don't!!! One other thing to remember is to never take anything personal on here. These boards are here fo rpeople to voice their opinions. That is what everyone is doing!!! Keep it up and continue to support the Hawks, I am!!!!

TIMEOUT........Please what ever the out come of this game is dont hold it against WOS. Majority of the posters are HJ fans. Im sure you alrdy know, but i hate it when peeps say o look and guess were the best......dont hold it against WOS. It was only a few years ago that Brookeland 1A beat the 3A powerhouse kountze in the YMBL tournament and went on to win the thing. Not sure, but I belive kountze may have beaten the all mighty that year too. But Brookeland didn't play anyone that year. :-* This thread should be deleted, or there should be a trash talking area on this forum. Or better yet, an age limit on this thing. What is awful is that I love the Hardin Jefferson team. I'm glad they represent South East Texas. They do consistently have great teams, but don't talk trash off of what-if. And don't be a sore winner, or get mad if the spotlight is occasionally on other teams. Being cocky and arrogant reflects on other things that aren't sufficient in our life. Just think, the majority of the people on here talking trash are older folks talking trash about high school teams or kids that aren't even playing on the team. Do you not have anything else to be proud of in your life?? so much so that if anyone else seems to take a little of that glory, you get offended and start thinking of ways to down them... Come on folks, lets all respect one another. I'm sorry for the degrading things I have said, and I refuse to post on this thread anymore. Even to defend myself or my alma mater. Brandon Letsingers long distance shot against Big Sandy as the buzzer sounded. Not a game winner, but pretty good none the less. Lazeek, I think there should be alot of talk about HJ, WH, Kountze, EC. Just not the banter of downing one to lift another. I think all of the above listed schools have had wonderful seasons and should be recognized. I know there are a lot of WH people saying alot about our season; but remember, WH has been the doormat for so long it is nice to be a little farther up the ladder for once.

Be careful SETXSLAM this is not a HJ board only!!! The natives might get restless if we talk too much about HJ. It was an incredible shot and the air got sucked out of the gym when it went in.

not all of HJ thinks they are special... kids that go to HJ like to talk alot for fun(i hope) on this website... i was at all three of the games and HJ deserved to win and of course they came out on top

not to be rude esoc . . . Jsmitty is a friend of mine and we just joke around alittle bit. If your calling a guy a jackass that is big and has a hard shot that you really do not even know. Donnie is a very talented player has great ball skills and has very good placement. Dustin from westbrook is the same type of player. I think they are very talented players with some awesome skill. If you really want to talk skill yea yea and trahan are extremely good with there feet. I know for a fact that yeayea can finish i have seen it first hand when he would come to my training. I wish i had three of those type of players. I have a great idea - you should go tell the KELLY AND WESTBROOK KID that they are just big and have no skill and see what kind of response you would get from them. . I can talk about a couple other players that are big and have hard shots. Did Jonthan Cruz and his brother have any skill? They were big guys too. Both of them played for me as well.

Thanks for the clarification spinks. I know what you mean. I guess its just that the majority of the talk from everyone takes away from WH. The only reason they don't score 120 to 130 like chireno on teams like High Island (sorry cards) and Burkeville (my bad stangs) is because the coach is very conservative at West Hardin. If he gets up by 20 he sits on it. I've been on West Hardin teams that lost by 50 and 80 points, and it wasn't any fun, but when we won, we always had class. Even in football. If we were up by three scores in the second half, the starters came out. Same way with these boys. They've won all year and haven't degraded anyone. They are much better than the scores against the schools that aren't so good show. Good luck to all in the playoffs. Yes, even the freakin, by-God, Hardin-Jefferson Hawks. ;D

Only Friday night can tell. No one thinks WH is real. They play WO-S in the Montagne. If its a 20 pt. win by the Mustangs, then okay ya'll can talk smack. : WH shouldn't be allowed to clean the toilets in Kountze, EC and the all mighty God-for-saken HJ or whatever. But if its a legitimate game, or WH actually pulls out a victory (no way right, congrats on the year, but they suck anyway) then how about a lil' respect. They are a good team, regardless of classification.

Lets see if I can explain this. If they were to post a topic like Vidor vs PNG (JV) that would be a totally diff. deal. It gets confusing having two diff. convos in the same topic. I remember back in the day when I was in the shadow of the seniors, I hated it! I think we need to keep the Varsity and JV topics seperate. As long as we somthing like that, im all for having JV or even Sophomore/Freshman teams talk about their seasons.

This is the only thred where the players themselves talk badly about there team mates on the JV level. Never seen it in football, vollyball, basketball, softball, or baseball. Just don't understand it. Must be someting on the ball that does it to them.

All this bull being said I bet if Memorial played any of those teams they would beat them by at least 20 or more...so you tell me about making a team better or not....honestly I dont think most of the people making comments have seen all 3 players, Danahoe is good but not playing competition and no exposure means no-where, the other kid Letsinger he's ok but cant compete with the others on list, NOT taking anything away from attitude but talent wise Brown by far, all of yall really dont know yall see a player over emotional about the game and first thing oh he's done he the best of the best....dont talk cause you know the kids personally or from their community but they couldnt compete on a 5a level plain and simple....

Yeah, I've watched her play basketball a couple of times.I give props, the girl is cold! You've coached a talented player! I talk to her from time to time, she's also a nice person as well. I hope only the best for her, she's a cool girl!

Look, like I said we are not going to have smack talk on this site. That post was a reply to another post. There are intense rivalries in the GT, but that has not spilt over to this site, and I don't want it to start now. I have not seen any post from the GT side putting down any teams from the west. But I have seen several post from the guys from the west post threads that seem to put down teams in the GT. I don't like the way this is headed, and it will stop. One of the reasons, this is going on, is the west teams with the exception of Dayton, or dis-associated from the teams in the GT. In other words they play each other very few times, don't play in the same district, and most people in the GT don't know much about the teams from the west, and vice versa. The difference is there are about 4 teams from the west, and there are twenty something from the GT that we are trying to cover.
