  1. You talk about a mess on the fields tonight!!!
  2. At the rate they are going, they won't get to play on the new field this year. How sad is that......they broke ground on the new high school 3 1/2 yrs ago and we still have no football or baseball field ready. I hate it for the kids who are Seniors....they have been waiting to play on a new field and probably won't get too. Same with the football field.....the kids have been told more than once this year that the "next home game" will be at our new field.....and where are they? At the old field. Maybe it will be finished by the time our middle schoolers get there! As for all the talk about the AD.....I have a few comments there also. I agree with the others who say he is only concerned with football because he is......and not all football, VARSITY football. Our JV team has done well, yet they never get recognition. Last year, they were undefeated going into their last game (against Newton) and he didn't even know! Why you ask? Because he never went to the games. These kids work just as hard as the Varsity team and deserve to be recognized. The same with the other sports programs, all of these kids work hard and the AD should support all sports, whether it's volleyball, basketball, track or powerlifting. And until he does support the other sports, our athletic program will continue to decline.

Since the bears only lost 27-14 and shut them out in the second half from what i hear.... Seriously the trash talk is a little childish if you ask me so dont compare points because paper work dosen't matter when it come down to Friday Nights....
  4. There are fans from every school that talk trash even PNG. If you have read this board you would know that. I myself do not talk trash. We all support our teams, win or lose I will always back the Pirates. I expect a hard fought enternaining game tomorrow, you should do the same.
  5. It is not any fun unless you can talk a pound of smack!!!! Good luck Dayton I will really enjoy this game... I love Friday Nights and truely just want to see a great game... But any real fan will make a great excuse for his team.... Hell Vidor and Nederland fans still making excuses and that was 4 weeks ago!!!! Lets have fun... you guys waaaaayyyyy too sensative.
  6. If the rain doesn't stop.........will Central be coming to Dayton? Is Central's field turf? Good Luck to both teams.......of course I stand behind my Broncos but I am not going to smack talk......may the best team win!
  7. Dravanti is going to show this Salter kid what Football really is... And good point... I think what Johnson just said was perfect... he didnt trash talk, he said just wait til friday...
  8. What somebody says on here and what they do on Friday night is two different things. You can say anything, you fellas don't get careless and say stuff that will call your character into question. Especially when you are putting your name and number as your login. Lets just have some class and do it on the field not the forum. Leave the trash talk to a bunch old chunky dudes sitting behind computers.
  9. Nope, there is plenty of trash talk from PNG !
  10. I think it'll be a close game, could go either way. But most folks from PNG don't come on here and talk trash. We leave that on the field were it should be.
  11. I don't think that it is Kendrex either. I know him, and I know how easy it would be to get on here, make up any user name and pose to be whoever you want. It's not a good thing, and if it is Kendrex, I would hope that you wouldn't talk like this cause you are going to bring bad omen on us!
  12. The Kville game was a very close well played game by both teams. The only problem with it was that it ended on a feild goal that should have never been kicked. Kville had the long pass inside the 5 yard line that left 3 seconds on the clock. Clock stops to move chains. (in this case just the down marker inside the 5) Marker was set. Referees waited at very least 10 seconds for Kville to get to the line of scrimmage and get set before starting the clock. Then the spike, then the FG. Should've never happened. 3 seconds shouldve been run off before they were close to being set. Its one thing to lose to a good team, its another to lose on bad ref. calls. I know...I know.. the next post is going to tell me to get over it.... all that garbage talk, and thats ok. But I think alot of people that werent there, (and some that were) dont realize what happened there. Anyway, that was last year and it dont matter but it keeps getting brought up. Thought I was just inform and refresh some memories.
  13. Lady Rangers, Kingwood wage classic battle By Michael Pineda Baytown Sun Published October 25, 2006 Sterling’s bid for the District 21-5A co-championship came up short Tuesday night but not because of a lack of effort. In a game, which met playoff standards and then some, the Lady Rangers fell to No. 5 Kingwood 25-17, 22-25, 25-23, 25-23. With the loss, RSS ended the regular season at 33-6 and 12-2 in the district, while Kingwood finished a perfect 14-0 on 21-5A. “We left it on the court tonight,†RSS head coach Nadine Horne said. “We left it, every bit of it, on the court. We had our opportunities, it just wasn’t meant to happen.†Both teams played outstanding defense throughout the match as bodies flew to the floor for digs on a regular basis. Sterling’s bid to claim their first district championship since 1997 came up short however and they will enter the playoffs as the District 21-5A runner-up. Sterling took a lead in the first game on a kill by Ashley Tadlock although it was Priscilla Massengale who set the tone early with a great dig. The Lady Rangers held the lead at 8-7 only to see Kingwood rip off a 7-0 run to take a 14-8 lead. The lead grew to 20-10 before Katie Breazeale stopped the bleeding with a block. Three more points cut the lead to 20-14 but that would be as close as RSS got in the eight-point loss. “In some spots we played intimidated in the first game,†Horne said. From the second game on Sterling looked like a completely different team going toe to toe with the defending district champion. In the first game, Destiny Mason was a non-factor offensively but that would change in a hurry. The senior logged her second kill of the night to tie the game at 3-3. Kingwood rebounded to take a 6-5 lead but the Lady Rangers responded on a kill by Mason and a block and kill by Tani Eschberger for an 8-6 lead. Sterling kept momentum in their favor as each time the Lady Mustangs would put together a surge, Mason had an answer. Kingwood pulled within one at 14-13, but Mason picked up two kills. Kingwood tied the game at 16, but Mason hit the ball to an open spot on the floor and followed up with an ace. A Tadlock kill made the score 19-16 forcing a Kingwood timeout. The Lady Mustangs came out of the timeout discombobulated, giving up a point for a misalignment. Kingwood was not finished however, as they pulled within 23-22. Mason had one more kill for game point and a ball hit out of bounds gave Sterling a 1-1 tie. The Lady Rangers came out smoking in the third game jumping out to an 8-1 lead behind three Mason kills. Kingwood put two points together but three more Sterling points made the score 11-3 and forced the second Lady Mustang timeout of the game. The RSS lead stayed at eight points with the score at 15-7 before the visitors began to work back into the game. Kingwood took the lead at 21-20 on two consecutive blocks. An Eschberger block tied the game at 21-21 and a Tadlock ace tied the game at 23-23. Kingwood closed the game out with two consecutive points for a 2-1 lead. Much like the third game, Sterling held the lead most of the game only to see it slip away at the end. The Lady Rangers found themselves trailing 10-7 before ripping off a 5-0 run. Massengale came up big with two kills and a block. Kingwood tied it up at 12-12 only to see mistakes give RSS the lead back at 15-12. Sterling’s held i’s last lead at 22-21 when the Lady Mustangs scored four consecutive points. Tadlock pulled RSS within one at 24-23 on a tip, but a kill by Kathryn Garner secured the district championship. “I normally don’t talk to the kids on the floor after the game,†Horne said. “But when they were trying to walk out with their heads down I said we weren’t going to have any of that. We just played one of the best matches that you are going to see.â€
  14. Can someone please define "thug attitude"? I don't necessarily like some of the ways people talk and type on here, but I can guarantee you that my kids have probably reverted to saying something "thuggish" as most have. You can disagree with someone and even find them annoying, but stating that someone "talks with the thug attitude" is about like telling someone that they are talking "white". I have just never figured out how these things are defined.
  15. Yes, LCM beat us and YOU deserved the win. I congratulate you and if the board was quiet for a week, nothing I can do about that. Now, back to you playing Nederland....again, I say you will not beat them. Have you EVER seen Mosely run? The guy is a machine. Added to this, Ned's defense will be ALL over you...trust me. And, once you get All the Ned fans there, with ALLLLL their noise makers, yelling, screaming and motivating their team, you won't know what hit you. I really think Nederland will take this one and end up in the 3rd spot for district. I know this is all "smack" talk, but seriously, I know it's going to be a good game and I hope and pray that it's injury free. Good Luck to both Nederland and LCM !
  16. Sound assessment, and that's not just homer talk. Lumberton did beat Nederland, but they lost to PN-G, who lost to Nederland - so you can't assume that the Raiders should be ahead of Big Ned.
  17. Chavis decommited from Baylor October 23, 2006 Brian Freeman PowerMizzou.com Talk about it in Football Recruiting Board Beaumont (TX) native Billy Chavis has just tried to make sure he's doing what he can to help the team. This season, it's meant splitting time between linebacker and strong safety for his Westbrook team. He said that he's finding out how much fun it is to dish out the hit, rather than take it. Chavis plans on visiting Missouri after the season. "So far, it's all good," said the 6-foot-4 Chavis. "We're undefeated in our district and 6-1 over all. The games have been going good for me. I think I'm averaging about 11-12 tackles a game. I'm trying to help my team where I can and I've been playing some strong safety and linebacker. I've play every position in high school, kind of wherever they need me. Depending on how big I get and wherever they need me, that's probably where I'll play. I'm really enjoying playing on defense." Earlier this season, Chavis made a visit out to Arizona. He said he enjoyed the trip, but that the trip would be far from his last. "I'm working on visits to Iowa, Clemson and Missouri," said Chavis. "They'll all be official visits when ever I get there. I'll probably be taking most of them after the season because I'm tied up with my own season. I wouldn't mind catching a game, but it doesn't look real good right now." Chavis said that since his de-commitment from Baylor, he has been hearing from several schools, including one that may mean something more to him. "Recently, I've been talking a lot with Missouri," said Chavis. "It's been nice getting a chance to talk with Gary Pinkel and Matt Eberflus. I've also been talking a lot with my cousin, Tommy Chavis." Chavis added that the two cousins have talked quite a bit about Missouri, even if one of them is not there. "He's been telling me about the new facilities and how he likes Missouri," said Chavis. "He's told me to take my time and not rush in to anything. He's been encouraging me to come up to Missouri with him, but he understands I have to take my time." Chavis went on to add that he has been impressed with Missouri this year, despite not making a game. He also said that his visit there should clear up any questions that he has. "From watching their season so far, everything seems to be coming together," said Chavis. "The players get along and they've got the great fans. I think the coaching is really good. As far as the little things about them, I'll find that out when I take my visit." Along with a visit to Missouri, Chavis also plans official visits to Iowa and Clemson. After his de-commitment, where does that shake up his top teams? "Missouri, Iowa, and Clemson are the top three," said Chavis. "They're all pretty much even for me until I take my visits. After that, I'll have a better idea of who I like." Chavis said he wanted to take his time the second go-around of recruiting, but that he knows there's a deadline for all of his thinking. "I don't know when I'll be deciding again," said Chavis. "Signing day is the beginning of February, so I'm sure I'll have my decision no later than that."
  18. Don't forget about LC-M, all this talk about nederland is great but LC-M is long over due. I think they are ready, guess we will find out this weekend.
  19. I do not have a problem with any of our coaches. Anything other than that said is just trying to stir stuff up. Maybe we can go back to our pm talk? Nothing but love for the Pirates and the Coaches!!!!!!
  20. most of you trash talkers certainly have never played sports or you would know the cardinal rule or sports trash talking...never give your opponents motivation...i know Coach Credeur very well and thats not his style to trash talk so it shouldnt be yours...he would rather do his talking on the field and thats what you should respect....he is a very smart man....will do great things with your team...but DAMN give him some respect by not motivated other teams to kick your butts on friday.....you should talk about the good things the team is doing like dedicating the game agaisnt PNG to him becasue its his former school and how the kids were broken hearted after the game that they did not win for him.....i told everyone he wil make these kids play for him and that just what he is doing
  21. By Doyle Barlow & Michael Pineda Baytown Sun Published October 22, 2006 By DOYLE BARLOW and MICHAEL PINEDA BAYTOWN — The Lee Lady Ganders clinched at least fourth place in District 21-5A and a playoff berth with a thrilling five-game home win over Channelview Friday night. REL (22-12, 7-6) trailed the Lady Falcons 14-10 in the fifth and deciding game, but with their backs against the wall and one point away from defeat, Kevyn Jackson served for six straight points, sparking the Lady Ganders to an 18-16 victory and sparking a big celebration. “I told them to look up and see the banner up there, they’ll have their own hanging up there soon,†REL head coach Alicia Salinas said. “Everything from here on out is a bonus, because making the playoffs was our goal going in to the season. “Everyone played great, but the season is not over with.†REL won the first game of the match 25-17 and the third game, 25-18. Channelview’s wins were in the second game (25-21) and fourth game (25-20). Jackson led the Lady Ganders with 27 kills and 10 digs, while Shardae Philogene added 14 kills and Lori Ward had 35 assists. REL will close out the regular season Tuesday night at Atascocita. A Lady Gander victory in that match would forge a third-place tie in the district with Atascocita (14-18, 8-5), meaning the schools would have to face off again next Thursday or Friday to determine playoff seeding. Kingwood is alone in first place in the district at 13-0, while Sterling is a game back at 12-1. Those two will meet Tuesday night at RSS, with the district title on the line. Sterling PORT ARTHUR — However hot it may have been inside the Port Arthur gym, the Lady Rangers were hotter, as they breezed through their last road match of the regular season to set up an all-important District 21-5A showdown with Kingwood Tuesday. With the starters flexing their strength and the bench gaining valuable playing time, Sterling knocked off Port Arthur 25-6, 25-10 and 25-9. The win gave RSS a 12-1 district record, one game behind Kingwood. “We did what we had to do and we managed to stay focused,†RSS head coach Nadine Horne said. “We got the game over with and we know what game we need to start focusing on. It is either now or we can talk about it for the rest of the year.†Sterling was never threatened in their match with the Lady Titans and they never trailed. The first game set the tone for the match, as the Lady Rangers jumped out to a 13-1 lead. Leading 4-1, Sterling ripped off nine straight points behind the serving of Amber Russell, who had an ace, and the play of Destiny Mason who had five kills in the run. Port Arthur was able to put some points on the board and close to within 16-4 but it had little impact as Ashley Tadlock put together four kills and Katie Breazeale added two kills and two blocks to put Sterling at game point. Russell recorded her second ace of the game to place RSS out in front at 1-0. Sterling jumped out to 3-0 in the second game when play was suspended momentarily when the referee was asked to move her car. Timmy Massengale was credited with an assist as he came out of the stands to move the car and play resumed with the Lady Rangers taking an 8-1 lead. The Lady Titans put two on the scoreboard but were answered with a 5-1 run as Mason had three kills and Breazeale added another one. Port Arthur had another two point burst only to be answered with a kill and block by Priscilla Massengale and the Lady Rangers cruised to a 2-0 lead in the match. Breazeale picked up two kills and Mason matched her with two more as Sterling took a 6-0 lead in the last game. An ace by Tadlock as well as a kill in the run lifted the Lady Rangers as they put it on cruise control to close out the game and match. Mason had 19 kills on the night and Breazeale added 10. Courtney Zink had 12 digs and Russell was credited with 29 assists as Sterling improved to 34-5 overall. Barbers Hill With the District 21-4A title already in hand, the Barbers Hill volleyball team closed out the district campaign undefeated Friday night with a 25-6, 25-10, 25-3 win over Smiley, who finished the season 0-17. Next up for Barbers Hill will be a warm-up game at Wimberly on Saturday and then the Area playoffs. The Eagles, who get a bi-district round bye, will face the winner of Sante Fe and Lamar Consolidated. “We played fine and we had even playing time,†BH head coach John Leonard said. “We are going to put the screws down. The early rounds could be our toughest ones. If we get past area we will play Port Neches-Grove, C.E. King or Friendswood. “We have an open week and we are going to scout and begin to put our strategies in. We are going to have some long practices this week.†Keely Rivera led the Eagles with eight kills in the win as everyone saw action. Barbers Hill improved to 29-7 overall and 14-0 in district. “I wouldn’t want to play us in the playoffs,†Leonard said. “What we do is unique and fast. We will play as long and as hard as we need to.†Crosby While Crosby has been winning in the second half of the season, they have not been as dominating as they were in the early part of district play. It caught up with the young team on Friday, as they fell to Galena Park 20-25, 29-27, 19-25, 25-22, 15-10. The loss did not hurt the Lady Cougars’ standing as the second place team in District 21-4A as they will travel to Beaumont Ozen at 7 p.m. Thursday to face Little Cypress-Mauriceville in a bi-district playoff match. “It makes me very upset,†CHS head coach Stephanie Cone said of the loss. “I don’t know what happened and I am concerned. But now we start off with a new record. What we did before doesn’t matter. “You have to be upset but you can’t dwell on it. We will put everything we have into Thursday’s game. When this team gets out and plays, they are tough.†Brittany Hoag led Crosby with 16 kills and Lacy Bates and Courtney Nutt had 11 kills each. Kristin Pannabecker and Lindsey Bates each had eight kills and Meagan Travis had 34 assists. The loss dropped Crosby’s record to 22-7 overall and 11-3 in district.
  22. I have been waiting for a couple of weeks, for us to get to Friday night, to be able to watch BC/K-ville, but the week leading up to this game is going to be a joke. I might have to not visit this board for the rest of the week, because I feel I am getting dumber week by week. Reading this garbage that K-ville ball calls the english language is numbing my brain. And as we all can see, he still did not reply to my bet. He is all talk and no show. When BC wins Friday, maybe this will shut his ignorant mouth up. My five year old speaks with better english than you do. And can probably spell better. And would even submit that she knows more about football than you do. All you know is they are going to win because the moons of Jupiter have aligned or some other stupid reason. I hate being rude to you, because I don't like speaking bad about someone, but you bring out the worst in me. Please bring something productive, football wise, or go home. And this garbage about you being hated by few and respected by many...Well, that's a load of horse puckey. I would like to have a show of hands of the people that like and/or respect K-villeballa...Anyone...Anyone...Anyone...Just as I thought.
  23. No kidding. If you want to talk about undersized, slow and injury prone then lets talk about Barbers Hill.
  24. shorttexas1 I think that you are being a little to hard on coach Rice. I have watched the Jaguars over the pass five years. He has pressed when he has had the personel to press. As a matter of fact he was probablly one of the fastest teams in the area when comes to pressing and pushing the ball up the court. You also have to look at the fact that the Jaguars has been as deep as they had been as a 5A school. You need to take that into consideration when you talk about pushing and pressing. Size is not always the best indicator of what style of play you choose. There are some teams that are big and run the ball and there are some teams that are small and play a controlled fundamental game. Case in point - Vidor Pirates. Just because you run and press don't mean you're going to win either. What if a team forces you into a half court game you still have to be able to score. Another note: you mentioned loosing He has never had a loosing season!!!! I think he won twenty games last year.
