1. Just saying, Hunter led his team to state qualification in 7-on-7 today.  Pool Play LCM 7 Pearland 21 (Pearland had already qualified) LCM 28 Texas City 14 LCM 34 Goose Creek Memorial 12 Semifinals LCM 27 Central 19 Finals LCM 13 Dawson 20 (Overtime)
 2. Not to hi-jack the post, but what about Top5 teams in the area this year regardless of classification?
 3. I'm not going to make one, because I don't know anything about returning starters/upcoming players, etc... But let's hear some predictions

Central 2. PNG 3. Vidor 4. Nederland
you are truely a Vidor fan, these people hardly have anything coming back.
remind me...what was vidor's jv record last year?
First, I would also like to know what their JV record record was, but it doesn't matter.  Their JV team had all their sophomores and some juniors due to all the returners on varsity. Second, how could you possibly pick Vidor that high this year, with 3 returning starters!?  And they didn't even finish that high last year!
the only loss for vidor's jv i believe was to png 50-43 or something. it was a very entertaining game. i also believe vidor has more than 3 returning starters on the team. i look for their running game to still be pretty good with an improved passing game. the new qb has a better arm than last year's qb. there is a back that is pretty quick coming up too. dayton saw him in the playoff game last yr. the o-line is where the questions are, but we'll see. hopefully when the pirates meet up w/ your bears next year y'all can give them a better game. :o
Geez, sorry.  I would also like to hope that Vidor gives LCM a good game in ANY OTHER SPORT besides football too.  Or at the band or choir competitions.  Or at the academic UIL meet.  But we can only hope...

 6.
Sure they will..Look at Lumberton. It took a lot of years but the Raiders made it. KVille had its good years and its horrible years just like almost every other school in the area. It comes and goes. Just hang in there. Heck, the UIL will probably eventually decide to water down the field even more and just send every school to the playoffs then Kountze will get in for sure...ha..Wishing the Lions well. Would love to see them in the playoffs.
Yeah, mathmatically they will make the play-offs eventually...just like army will beat the United States Naval Academy in football EVENTUALLY!
 7.
Lol.. I didnt make that Game, But I heard that was the only reason They didnt score more, If im not mistaken Boram..
Well on one hand rain usually favors the slower team (Lumberton) but on the other hand it also favors teams that don't pass the ball (Central).  Both sides can make valid arguments...except for the fact that Central was 2nd in district this year and Lumberton was tied for last, so I find using that as an excuse for Lumberton to be questionable, at best.  I rule in favor of the defendant, Central would have won anyway.  Case dismissed...

You have to love this!  LCM wins one and keeps the other close and Coop makes sure to tell us there were players not there.
Both teams WERE MISSING PLAYERS!!
I believe it was Elisabeth Kübler-Ross that said that denial is the first stage of grief...
 9. Well teams will always have players not playing...was it a significant amount or just a few players from each team?
 10.
Not a snowballs chance Kville would win 20-4A (or even compete for a playoff spot). This is not basketball...It is football. This is not about talent at a few positions. It's about stamina. I will give you this. If it were a simple case of each team picking its top 11 players on offense and defense and then playing with no bench/substitutions, KV would have a chance at a few wins (Just as 7 on 7 gives small schools the chance to compete). But, you simply can not compete, week in and week out, against schools that have more fresh legs on the bench than you put on the bus. Kville does not have the numbers to compete at the 4A level each week. Could they get lucky once or twice? Sure. Would they hang with PNG/Central, etc? Not a chance! PN-G would wear them down and the JAGS would blow by them like they were standing still (a few speedsters on a 25 man roster is cool but it doesn't hold a candle to a roster two to three times that size where even the fattest/slowest kid on the team could be a track star at some schools). I realize Jack Alvarez feels that his players can compete at any level (Big 12/NFC East, etc.) but he is mistaken. It's getting old Kville fans. You are becoming annoying and ridiculous with your constant appeals for a pat on the back (Fortunately, it's only a small few as most KV fans are more rational). Give it a rest! Good luck to the KATS. They are an inspiration to the entire area. I am proud as heck of their accomplishments and I wish them great success this season!!! But they are not the best football team in Texas. For that matter, as Muleshoe and Pilot Point both proved the past two seasons, they are not even the best 2A team in the state. They are good (great even) but not yet the "Gods of Football" that many believe them to be. I fully expect them to return to the playoffs this season but I would be surprised to see them make it past the 2nd round in 3A (would love for them to prove me wrong...SERIOUSLY. And, yes, I know all about their history in 3A. I have been following them for about 30 years). It must be a heck of a lot of pressure for a bunch of teenage boys to deal with. Support is one thing but this is getting ridiculous. Lastly, let me say that Fred Ford is both a great running back (probably the best in the area) and, from what I know of him, a very respectable young man. He has the potential to go farther than any KV player has gone since Bubba Bean (A&M/Atlanta Falcons) and I wish him well. I just hope the tough (crazy) schedule doesn't put more pressure on him than he can handle.
Well maybe the Big 12 but definately not the SEC
 11. If anyone posts a video, please give the link to it...
 12.
OK then in the first game WO-S was missing 4 key players.
Who?
 13.
I like Silsbee's secondary, they return all four starters. Prentice Lane CB, 8 INT's, Jarrian Rhone SS, 7 INT's, Ronald Barrett FS, 4 INT's, Kelson McDaniel CB, 1 INT. 20 INT's returning, I like!!!
:o That is a lot of interceptions on one team
 14.
Thursday scores Game 1 WO-S 34 LC-M 27 Game 2 WO-S 27 LC-M 6
In fairness LCM played ALOT of second string and younger kids in Game 2
 15. Just saying...LCM has 16 returning starters, and most of the losses are on the offensive line...
 16. I remember at the Nike combine that Quinton Cantue ran a 4.51.  However, these times are always very accurate (i.e-slow) and he was one of the better performers.
 17. LCM, WO-S, and maybe some other people will be having 7-on-7 at LCM on Thursday.  I think people should come check them out.  LCM qb Hunter Gonzales will be back from baseball, Zack Sonnier vs. Justin Thomas, the closest to the Orange Bowl people will get this year...you ask me it sounds WAY more interesting...
 18. NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!  No doubt; mark it down.
 19. what about Hayden Reed?  (LCM sophomore in the shot put and discus)
 20.
LCM is different every year sometimes can sometimes cant, now PNG and Nederland always put a competitive team on the field.
What!!?????!!  They "sometimes can sometimes cant."  What LCM are you talking about exactly?  Because the one just north of I-10 in Orange Texas has made it to 2nd round of the playoffs every year but 1 in the last decade!  In fact, there has only been 1 year since 1995 where they haven't made it to the second round (2002)  In addition to this I believe they have made it to regionals 9-10 times in this span.  So there you go.
 21.
what's an abilene?  ??? ;D
It's a bigger version of a pomegranite.  Its actually got more of a vegetable taste, and most people commonly misconceive it as such.  however, it is definately a fruit.
