I was confused but was actually thinking about Houston Heights that BH beat 51-26 last year. That same Heights team lost to Lamar later that season 19-9. Oh, and thanks for the pass, but I don't need one

Ok so surprisingly we didn't kick the crap out of Shadow Creek, but the good news is we will not see a Shadow Creek like football team which returned 13 starters from last year's 6A 9-3 team. The scrimmage was broken in two parts. The 1st part was a timed 5 Minute rotation that went 6 rounds with 1st teams and 2nd teams getting 3 rounds a piece. The 2nd part was a 10 Minute live quarter with a running clock. Both parts were one hand touch on the QB, no QB runs and no punt returns... 1st Part SC 1st Team 3 TD's BH 1st Team 0 TD's SC 2nd Team 1 BH 2nd team 0 Final SC 4 BH 0 Live quarter SC got the ball once gained 2, 1st downs with no score BH got the ball twice. 1st possession 3 and out 2nd possession 2 1st downs then time expired. Overall, it was a scrimmage and i saw some bright spots and then things to work on. We saw 3 QB's tonight and I thought that #3 was the more poised QB with the best arm and touch on the ball while #12 was less poised, but a strong runner. Both QB's looked like they had some wheels. The two main RB's #21 and #22 both scat backs were quick and ran well. The trenches didn't look too bad to me either because I was thinking the bigger 6A squad may own us there, but we held our own. Defense has its moments too and did well except when the athletes got the ball in space I could type a book, but that's it in a nutshell I think this scrimmage will get us prepared for good Magnolia West team that went 10-2 last year losing by 8 to Denton Ryan in the playoffs

With what Crosby has returning they should be able to stay on the field with anyone. King is down from last year, but should still be competitive after that great year they had. Should be a good game.

Lamar isn’t the juggernaut your pinning them to be, so if Crosby had trouble in the trenches with Lamar there are many 5A Div 1 teams that will do the same. BH beat Lamar soundly the last time they played them in Lamar. Lamar does well in the HISD district, but they weren’t much of a match when we played the. Of course that was then maybe their much improved?

Hoping to go watch BH scrimmage Shadow Creek tonight if the rain stays away. Great way to start out the year against a very tough opponent. I expect the Eagles to be out maned tonight, but looking forward to see what Abseck has done with a full off season. BH has some big holes to fill at QB and RB, but we should have a strong group of receivers to help out.

Will be an interesting year. Crosby, PAM and BH should be a slug fest and Porter/LaPorte have potential. I feel this will be a tougher district overall than last year for BH and Crosby. Playoffs travel will be brutal though.

Better hope 14.2 has hacked in to remove Crosby’s one student or y’all will just have to win State in Div1.

I’m not surprised that LH won, but I am surprised of the Crosby execution of the plays the last two weeks. All of the false starts committed by just about every lineman were killers and hard to make sense of. The depth at the skill positions are very shallow to and shouldn’t be with all of the blow outs Crosby had they should be deeper allowing playing time for the 2nd stringers. Anywho still a great season for the Coogs it just sucks to go out like that.

Good season Coogs! Liberty Hill was just plan better. Coogs we’re off since the TH game and that continued tonight.

I remember years ago when PNG was playing Stephenville in the Dome. Stephenville made the loudest noise maker! It was 5 propane tanks filled with ball bearings mounted on a 2X4 and was handled by 3 students shaking that thing the whole game!😀 Crosby needs this

Yeah , don’t get in that situation this year. The football Gods might not be so giving this year.
