Totally different philosophies.. Herman will run his o and look to hire someone familiar.. "Alignment" he's not looking for names. One team one goal one message
I can see that..don't kno if Tim beck will leave Ohio State

He's just a wr coach. Gave him title to justify salary and lessen the appearance of him being demoted (oc to position coach) helfrich is not an option.. Probably Tim beck from Ohio state.. Stan Drayton from bears to coach rbs and hold title run game coordinator..
Why do you think Helfrich isn't an option ?? From what I'm hearing he's a big option

Is passing game coordinator like half of an OC? 2 is better than one right?
From what I'm hearing these are the candidates emerging as OC favorites
Oregons Ex Coach Mark Helfrich
Clemson Co-OC Jeff Scott
TCU Co-OC Sonny Cumbie
Of this List Mark Helfrich would be a fire hire...I think with him being Head Coach he had a lot under his belt and couldn't just focus on offense like under Kelly

Considering UT is only going to take roughly 17 recruits, it's almost a certainty that we won't end up in the Top 20. We'd have to have a class chock-full of 5* guys for that to happen. Next year should be a good one though.
Yea true, but the crazy part is we had Thoes 5* wanting to come to Austin...ugh but yea next year should be better

Not looking like that is going to happen.
Lol das why I said what I said ....Gonna be tough but he has some fire power ...it can either go really good or really bad

If Herman can somehow maneuver Texas into a top 20 class ranking by Signing Day consider this a "HUGE" success...

Very true
lol he's not gonna be the OC just a position coach is all...But he can recruit which is probably the reason Herman got him ..
-
Lol I'm not mad at Herman and staff for trying to hustle An get some recruits but Herman Midas well salavage what he can and chalk it up to time and get the ones that want to be a Texas Longhorn,,hey you never know might find a few hidden gems,,,get an early step into next years recruiting class , Texas has some good ones coming out in 2018

Well if that's the case Aranda was post to be DC at Texas and Coach O should be out of a job...hopefully it's just people talking and speculation like Thoes examples I gave cause Wilson could be a "BIG GET" for Herman and crew
ALso if we do add Brewster (FSU) and McGure out of Cedar Hill (HC) that will truly help us with a lot of these flips
Wilson will still give Texas a shot, He was a die heart fan growing up, now will he choose Texas over Favorite LSU idk, but Texas will get their shot to persuade him to stay in Texas

Just thinking to myself Herman should definitely look at these two for the OC/DC job
OC- Canada Pitt... (what he's done all season is nice, he made Bret Venables and Clem look silly as well as everyone they have played..
DC-Leavitt Colo what he's done with that defense is nothing short of amazing..and in the pac 12 which is probably as close as your gonna get to Big 12 offenses (Oregon, Wash St, Arizona St)
Solid Hires

I still like Michigan above the Big10 Champ

Small crowd on hand for Westfield ..just pulled up and Mustangs on the board already
-
What happen to Memorials RB??
-
I'll support him, hope he can bring these horns back to greatness..starting with good staff hires who can recruit the state and teach fundamentals as well as develop talent...
Hook'em

Ever heard of a team of destiny?? Lol Desoto might be that team this year...
if you haven't heard what happen last night you might wanna find out, Great game by both teams and congratulations to Desoto for advancing..I still have no voice

Now the question is do we let LSU keep Aranda or not? I mean, they do deserve a little smack for trying to nudge their way in at the big boy table...
If Herman is in like I'm hearing, I hope he looks at Different DCs and not just bring in Orlando off Rip...Do what The Texas administration didn't do and go through a proper search for a GOOD DC

I'd hate to see how Texas would be playing if they 'weren't' trying to save Charlie's job.
Lol...yea idk anymore ..
if is not the defense is the offense...uhhh just think they need a change, cus some stuff is just smh glaring and halftime adjustments have never been a strong point for Strong and company
-
I wonder if Strong would be Interested in becoming Texas DC if no HC position comes lol ...Defense has been good since he took over

Personally, I feel ________ highest paid in the country shouldn't be by his name ..but I know since he's at Texas The green will come, but I just don't wanna see us go after a coach and just say F everyone else, just cause he's playing LSU for us to hurry and make a rash decision...
lol I feel your anger through your post..These next few days shell be interesting
-
Lol this is gonna be interesting
-
Thanks @UTfanatic
but notice I never said they would get Thoes guys, I said that's who the Texas powers will try to go after ....I mean we went after Saban at Bama so no one is off limits
Also I've heard Through the grapevine That Harbaugh has put out intrest in the Texas job as of lately..
Now just in my opinion I would take Harbaugh over Herman, not saying Herman is a bad coach but Strong isn't bad either just didn't win when he was post to, and what better coach to bring that hardnose style and build off what Strong did then Harbaugh, not to mention recruits would love to play for a former NFL coach as well as football name like Harbaugh ..very good teacher also,
Herman's Texas Longhorns
