I don't believe it was settled conclusively that barrow didn't have a masters degree. Can anyone confirm conclusively one way or the other?

I believe the requirement was masters degree preferred Dont recall seeing anything about able to acquire one in 2-3 years.

I agree a good thing shouldn't be messed with but the sentiment is that Barrow will not be named AD and I'm willing to bet it has something to do with Barrow not having a Masters degree as others have mentioned its possible that could change next week

In my opinion Simmons will be offered the job first If no agreement can be reached then English will be ad with Barrow being named head coach.

Scenario 4 won't happen. Simmons will not take the job without both ad and head football coach. The job likely will start in the mid 80k range and that's with both head coach and AD titles.

What makes this even worse is that it's on record for everyone to listen to that the superintendent lied.

If I were a resident of Jasper ISD I would demand Dr Hudson's resignation it's obvious this man flat out lied to everyone.

Couldn't have said it any better. I think everyone can agree that Barrow and Simmons are both quality coaches and Nederland Bulldog Athletics are in good hands no matter who is chosen.

Could come as early as tomorrow. My guess is still March

Many would say if Barrow isn't hired Nederland might be in trouble

Sometimes the superintendent will use a hiring committee to recommend several names to interview

The superintendent recommends a hire but the schoolboard can also vote against the hire. The hire can also turn the job down which is what happened back in 93

The board must still vote to approve the hire

You don't think they have input though

The NISD schoolboard has a history of not hiring the most obvious candidate. All I can say is stay tuned.
