1. The Tigers have a very talented group in both 7th and 8th. However, the 8th are Co-Champions with HF. The Longhorns are worthy of the title too.
2.

It means NOTHING.  You all have screamed repeatedly how the tougher Silsbee schedule did such great things.  Tell me now that it mattered that much.
Why does HJ avoid playing inner city schools? Thats just my question.
I am tired of hearing how weak HJ's schedule is...If you look on the rankings list they have played 4 more games than anyone else listed. Maybe their theory is more games means more opportunity to play and function as a team!
3.
Who registers the high on your schools Alltime Dunk-O-Meter? Silsbee 1. Richard Watts 2. Lewis Airline 3. Donyell Allen 4. Marcus Taylor 5. Eldon Peterson Honorable Mention: Chris Miller and Willie Jones Some people may only recognize your #1 by his nickname....
4. I just did a quick look at some other states and noticed that Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska have 6 classifications and Arkansas has 7. Why are we squeezing more kids in 5 classifications?
5. I don't understand why smaller states have 6 classifications and Texas is still at 5. There are many more students, yet few classifications. I understand there is some issue with travel, but that problem already exists.
6. I admit - I looked at this thread because of the title!
7. Hoping the Bulldogs can go a ways in playoffs so English can reach the mark this year. He has done some great things for the program in Nederland.
8. What grade levels do they use to determine attendance?
9. I was actually thinking all four had 4 by the end, although it was hard to keep up with the numbers. How many total players got in the game last night from both teams? I kept hearing about Silsbee's bench early on, but I believe HJ played more the first game. Not sure though about last night.
10. Just curious at how many HJ players ended up with 4 fouls. I believe the intensity of both teams late in the game was a reflection of fouls.
11. The worst part for me is family members of the players not being able to get in to watch their son or grandson play because they had to work and couldn't afford to take off early. Many parents did take off work, but I wonder if some could really afford to do this or have a boss that was understanding of the situation.
12. Best of Luck to DC! Hopefully some locals will be able to watch him play more.
13. Lumberton's 8th grade group will bring the numbers up. I believe it is the largest class to come through, although there may be bigger classes below them.
14. Congrats on the victory Hawks! The Tigers came to play and it was a battle the whole way! The rain didn't stop the fans from hanging out and waiting to get inside. I know lots of people didn't make it early enough and luckily they were able to listen to the feed or watch the live stream. I didn't make it in the game at Silsbee so I can appreciate the service this site provides. Thanks for allowing so many more fans to enjoy what I had the opportunity to view tonight!
15. HJ has a good size crowd that follows them to away games. The seating at WOS is not set up for a large visitor section. The visitors are given half of 1 sideline to sit on. While the home team gets the other half of the sideline plus the entire other side. WOS did try and make some adjustments by allowing HJ fans to sit in a small section diagonal from the rest of the HJ crowd right next to the band. There are no stairs or aisles to climb up so you have to snake your way through the crowd and walk in front of the bench of players and coaches to get a seat. Having been there, I was aware of this and made sure to get their early to get a seat - and know that I would not be getting down until the game was over. It is not easy or safe for the elderly to get up and down in these stands. Plus young kids that want to go to the concession stand get in the way of those trying to watch the game.
