I agree that slowing it down plays into their hands. Their half court man defense is something else and caused lots of turnovers this past weekend.

With this rivalry there are going to be strong emotions and some trash talking on both sides, win or lose. I can understand in the heat of the moment after a big win at the buzzer and wanting to celebrate with your team, but I still believe at some point you should shake hands with your opponent. I still don't understood why many didn't shake hands after the second game. Sportsmanship is a very important part of the game from beginning to end (including shaking hands) which is why I didn't like seeing the man dancing at half court after either game. Maybe I am just old school and feel respecting the other team is respecting the game.

I mentioned the man dancing around because I saw it after the HJ game first and then saw it again after the Silsbee game. I chose to watch the Silsbee game, but am a fan of the Hawks. Just thought it was in poor taste no matter who was playing.

Good season Kountze. It was nice to see the Kountze fans at the Silsbee game tonight.

LaVega was like a gnat that wouldn't go away. Gotta give them props. They were down by double digits 2 nights in a row and battled back against two very good and agressive teams.

Slowing it down worked in LV's favor. Both nights they were able to cause turnovers and steals for points for them. Proud of all the local teams!

That guy dancing at half court is driving me crazy. How is he allowed out there to do that show 2 nights in a row?
