You don't contribute to the current thread. As the world was shown last week, EC is vulnerable. Contain Roberts and the offense will struggle. Middle linebacker has limited lateral movement. Can't run at him until he is tired, then run all over him. Kirbyville can win this game. They will have to play a very good game to do so, but they are capable of doing it. Kirbyville by 3 at home.

Giver me a break. I could rub your nose in it so hard you couldn't wipe it with a cloud about last week and the point difference, but I won't.

There is nothing like the community excitement that builds and grows as the team traverses through the playoffs and getting ever closer to that title game. Everyone you see locally is talking about it and asking "if your going". The win is unbelievable because it has been proven that that team is THE BEST in the state for an entire year. The community lets out a sigh of relief and celebrates with the team and coaches. It will bring a community together in so many ways. And oh yea, it feels like no other feeling in the world!! Which feeds that want for another starting early the next year. :)

[/quote] All traditions start somewhere. If Kountze is turning around, and from the looks of it they are, a fan buying in and being a believer is nothing to talk smack about. Kountze maybe needs more fans like you. Now there are always mountains to climb and Newton will come to Kountze as a mountain. I don't think Kountze will have enough to scale all the way to the top and win, but if they play hard, don't quit, and learn, who's to say it won't be the beginning of a winning tradition at Kountze in football, the same as it is in basketball. Keep supporting them and the coaches and let the good things continue. JMO.

Towards the end of the 1st half our sophomore kicker was instructed to kick a squib kick but he kicked it wrong and it came off as an onside kick. I believe we recovered it but we kneeled it. I don't think EC or Newton are the types of teams or coaches that would do that sort of thing. My comments were because Jenks made accusations about it being an unsportsmanship thing for Newton and their coach to have beat Warren by the score they did. He is an EC supporter and then said nothing about EC score in the defeat of Warren. I do not think it had anything to do with sportsmanship, it was circumstance.
