I agree with ECFAN#1. Excuses are always easy to come by, but don't change the out come. Talk smack, now is the time and it's in good fun. Don't come on here and not predict any kind of out come and then next week chastise all the ones that did have guts enough to predict. I'm not talking about ECFAN#1 either, but there is one.

Newton actually has 4 good backs if you count the QB. And Dean is the only senior.

A 2A Louisiana school with an 0-5 record doesn't seem like much of a challenge, but maybe not having a bye is more important.

One reason Shorter hasn't gotten a lot of press is Newton has multiple backs that carry the ball. The yards he has gotten and the great runs he has have been limited by playing time and number of carries. He is the real deal. WT has said that OU and Utah are looking at him and I believe Utah has offered over the phone. So I don't see where eagleswoodville#1's opinion matters too much. Just saying in current vernacular.

I just read on the Jasper radio website that this Friday the Jasper Bulldogs will play Coheen College Prep from New Orleans at the Jasper stadium.  :)

Making the playoffs is the big goal these days. Getting ready for the playoffs should be the goal of every team and I wish that every team in this district was as competitive as EC and Newton. This would hone the skills needed to advance in the playoffs towards a state title, which is the ultimate goal. Welcome EC to Singletary stadium and Barbay field. Should be a great game.

This reporter is getting paid to write this? Did they pull her off the society page to fill in? Did they do any research as to what it takes to go to the playoffs? Kountze is new and improved but they have not played any teams the caliber of the ones they are facing over the next few weeks. I don't see the playoffs for them this year or next.

WT shows anywhere from 12 to 15 different fronts throughout the game. Offense is the same way. What you see as success by change, might just be luck and luck is hard to predict.  8)
