Guys, we need to move on for this.  The committee has spoken and the assessments have been made.  From what I understand, Coach Landry moved on from this sometime last week as he gathered the players and their parents, took responsibility for the gaffe and apologized to the players and families.  If he is able to do that, I think that the rest of us can do the same.

I’d say lock the thread. You’re exactly right It’s over and time to move on.

Honestly they are assuming. Griff is on this site maybe he will get on here and talk about it. I was told it was HJ that turned them in. They broke the rules. I guess Griff is more of a standup guy then their coach is.

You were told that Because it was y’all.  Stop trying to put it on someone else. Maybe they were telling y’all that HJ whipped your butt twice.

  3. I thought they know it happened, but they are just trying to decide if they get penalized?  Statement above sounds like they are trying to determine if it even happened. Two different situations. If it didn’t happen there is nothing to decide on. If it did happen and there is no repercussions, watch out from here on out because anyone caught doing something will refer to this. Just my two cents which is not worth a nickel. Lol

  4. If that is true, I'm not sure any coach will be beating down the door to get into the HJ position.  Administration has coaches hands tied on getting anything done to fix subpar facilities.  Hell we have been trying for 4 years myself and many before us just to get lights on our baseball field.  If it is true about HJ coach it's Hard to have a feeder program when we have a coaching turnover every few years.

The coach shouldn’t worry about what parents have to say. Their concern should be winning games. At the end of the day their job is to win games and teach kids. Parents shouldn’t be a factor. I promise a kid won’t care how hard a coach works then if the end result is a W. Parents want to get TOO involved and be buddy buddy with the coach. Parents need to be parents and coaches need to be coaches. I don’t think WOS is going home and complaining about how hard coach T works them. And if they are I’m sure he doesn’t care.

BEST FREAKIN POST OF THE YEAR. THANKS FOR SHARING BLUE OWL

  6. Problem is when a coach gets tough, parents complain. When a coach isn’t tough enough, parents complain. How about as a parent you tell the kids you signed up, you represent yourself, you represent this community, and most importantly you represent this family? You don’t have to play if you don’t want next year, but by God you better work your butt off this year. Today’s society teaches kids, if you don’t like something rebel, riot, or pout til things go your way. I was raised you started, you better finish and to the best of your ability or get a foot in your A$$.
