  1. Took all his recruits with him huh
  2. It's not the trip to Galveston that is so bad.  It's the dodging the gun fire in the stands that is the difficult part.
  3. I still follow the Ganders in every sport, just haven't been participating on here much. I just had to chime in with that pummeling that he put on that poor ball.
  4. Saw the homer by Gomez over on Youtube.  Looks like he got all of that one.  Line drive shot.
  5. Congrats to the Ganders triple jumpers. Curtis Randle and Darrion Landry both in the top 120 nationally on Dyestat for the triple jump. Randle is currently ranked #11 in the nation with his most recent 47'4" jump at the Dawson meet this past week. Lee doesn't have the speed they had over the past decade any more unfortunately. I still think they have a good chance of winning the district this year though.
  6. Lee lost a lot of those athletes. I'm not as in tune with the program as I used to be, but I am pretty sure a lot of those guys graduated. They have a very good qb and rb coming back.  They have a few good defensive backs coming back. That' about it. You're about to see some very lean years for Lee.  I'm talking about 0-10 years.  This year coming up should be productive assuming all of the good players didn't transfer.  After that.... :'(
  7. I know nothing. They had a soph running back that didn't even play against Lee correct? That qb was the best qb in the district in my opinion. Gibson is the best receiver. They should be able to move the ball on anyone, Dawson included.
  8. Is the qb coming back for GCM? Seems like they should have a really good offense over there assuming Gibson plays.
  9. Jason Glenn is the Chavez head coach I believe.  Aaron's younger brother.
  10. You could put Lee's varsity in with the 19-4A JV district and they wouldn't have a chance to be top 4 after this coming year.  So, I don't think being in with Dawson, FW and Texas City is going to be any more detrimental than being in with Dayton, Crosby and BH.
  11. Always thought he was a pretty intelligent qb. He was barely turning 17 when he graduated from Lee if I recall correctly. Congrats to him.
  12. I always thought his real intention was to get a college qb coaching job.  It's probably a little late for him to really be leveraging this position to anything greater than what it is, but I believe as a qb coach he is elite.
  13. As has been noted time and again on this board, this behavior is pervasive in La Marque. They are known for this type of stuff, and attacking the Manvel coach i just verse 57 of the same song.
  14. Never needed to go to three schools in the first place. Very poor leadership in Baytown.  No vision for the future.  No idea of what to do to make it better.
  15. Manvel is so undisciplined.  I thought maybe that was a fluke against Dayton. So much talent, so little discipline
  16. I think Lee has about 7 starters back on defense. Offense maybe 4 or 5. Lot of talent graduating, but this upcoming senior class did well as freshmen.  Should do ok next year.  After that though, a precipitous drop off may be in the cards.
  17. Angleton might be a little too far south to get much. I can imagine that Dawson and Manvel might be getting some athletes zoned to Worthing, Madison, Westbury and Willowridge.
  18. True.  As the crow flies, might even be 8 miles.
  19. Three teams in semifinals in a 15 mile radius of each other over here. Manvel, Dawson and Hightower. Lot of good football being played in these parts.
  20. I stand corrected about Ell then, I thought he was in Oakwood.  Central Heights is still a stone's throw from Robert E Lee High School. I don't think Olin would have any problem letting the Walter kid play qb if he can throw the ball.  Octavio Torres was probably 5'8" and he played qb for Lee there towards the end. QB's would be lining up to play at Crosby in my opinion.  I'm not here to say whether Crosby should hire Olin or not.  I just know that he is one of the best qb coaches in the state.  Others have caught up with his offense at this point in my opinion.  He can still light it up though I would imagine.  Lee just did not have a qb his last couple of years.  He would have done wonders with this year's squad.
  21. I never said that Ozen shouldn't be held responsible. Never said Ozen was not half to blame in this ordeal. Both sides need to accept blame and make sure the kids know that this is unacceptable. Neither side will do so.  Both sides will say that their kids are good kids and it was the other kids that are the bad seeds. That's just the way it goes.  But don't claim that LM doesn't have a history of bad sportsmnship, because we all know this is not the case. At least the Miami Hurricanes embrace the image.  LM may as well.
  22. Exactly. He could go to Lee if he wanted. You used that example as if Olin was doing some under the table work. Brian Johnson may have come to Olin first in that deal as well.  Who knows? Guys move into the Katy zone all the time. Johnson was a qb, and it worked out very well for him to claim an address in the Lee zone. And he was the only one that had to claim an address to get to Lee.
