No everything was cancelled. Track, powerlifting, softball, and baseball. The support his family, friends, and teammates have received throughout this has been a tremendous help. Softball has a game today in Hardin, and i believe track and baseball are returning to practice today. Keep the prayers coming.

Just so we get a little recognition... Deweyville played in the Hemphill tournament friday. We played Warren at noon and won 12-5. Then played Zavala at 6 and won 11-1. Great job today guys and lets come back out there tomorrow and play even better. Tomorrow's game will be against Hemphill at 5 o' clock.

Decent game. Rather slow. Deweyville plays this Friday and saturday in the Hemphill tournament. I believe game times are 12 and 5. Not sure on who we play or anything.

I agree... HOWEVER, Deweyville very possibly could have been the top in our district. They hung with Anahuac and just let it go. There is a lot of talent on this team... but somehow they just aren't playing their best. Work hard guys and don't start slacking this far into the season.

I think Deweyville's team this year should do pretty well. Only made a few games last year and haven't seen anyone out of our district play but i do know that there should be a good group playing together this year.

I am from Deweyville and support our team no matter what... however, they pretty much played terrible friday night against buna. Playoffs are definately not out of reach yet. Look for them to surprise you with each game... they aren't the most consistent team and we never really know how they are going to come out and play. Keep playing hard boys and lets have the shots fall tomorrow.

Congratulations to Deweyville Lady Pirates on already beating their standings from last year. Last nights game against Milburn Academy put them with their 10th win for this season. Last year they only won 9. Girls you played very well last night... and best of all we could tell you had fun out there. Keep up the positive attitude and energy. Come out strong Friday night and play your best.

Come on Bucs! Good luck tomorrow night. I don't have a prediction for the game, and i don't care what the score is. I am just hoping that East Chambers wins and goes on to play well in playoffs! You deserve it.

Coach Hamerly is an amazing person. She has already made a great impact on our school. Not only is she head basketball coach, she also had to take over the voleyball coaching position als after Coach Spears took maternity leave. She is doing excellent and as far as i know she is liked by everyone. She genuinly cares and it shows. Good Luck Coach Hamerly and your varsity girls. I will be up in the top row cheering you on every game. ;D

Congratulations Anahuac. It disappoints me that you guys aren't receiveing the credit yhou should be. Seems like all i am hearing about is Kirbyville. Yes, they are a good team but, You deserve some positive talk also. Don't stop talking about yourselves. Your team will always rely on your support and when it's not coming from anyone else, you have to do it that much more. Good Luck Panthers. Glad we will get to see you in play offs.

I am very pleased with all of the positive comments. I definately agree that both teams played very hard. I was expecting Vilamez to do a little more with the talent he has, but he did play a great game, and as a team, they balanced out everything really well. And... For our Pirates. All of us are SOOOO extremely proud of you. You have not diappointed any of your true fans this year. However, the season is not over yet. Let's come back next week and continue to fight and prove what we've got to Anahuac!
