1. Suspended for that? I thought it was going to be a lot worse. Yeah, he probably shouldn't have done it, but I think he was just celebrating and got carried away. I don't know if a suspension is warrented. I quess coaches and players chest bumping is out now, too?

3. You do know that Mississippi has more people on NFL rosters right now than any other state. I, too was shocked to fin this out.
4. Two of the most exciting players I got to watch up close were Brandon Williams (Central) and Dieon Beasley (WOS). Also, Earl Thomas (WOS) and Fred Ford (Kirbyville)
So was San Augustine's.  That's the first time they have scored under 20 pts the whole season...
Both teams' defenses had something to do with the offenses being off. As far as you saying it should've been 40-0, your nuts. SA's offense scored six points last week. Deweyville's defense stepped it up last week, yet they get  zero credit from Wolverine. That was a good game last week. SA and CC should be a good game. However, I haven't seen CC play this year. I know what CC usually brings to the table, speed and discipline. I'll say CC wins this match up 24-21. I think it's really a toss up. Special teams play may decide it.
8. There has been one common opponent between D-ville and SA; Center. I know they were scrimmages, however, they beat SA 4-0 in theirs and Deweyville and Center tied 1-1. I do believe Center had a little bit of speed, too.
9. I'm sorry, I posted this on wrong thread. I'll move it to the College Football.
10. I don't start rumors, I just report them. Information that I have gathered from other bloggers on the Big East and insiders from the program say that WVU will be the 14th team in the SEC and that an announcment could come as early as Friday. That's just what I've been told.
11. Without a doubt the best game LU has played since returning to football. Bevil had his best day, imo, too. Defense came through when they had too. Great win!!

13. Y'all sound like SA is undefeated. SA has 3 wins against terrible 1A schools and been blown out by the other 2 1A schools they played and y'all want to talk smack. The schools that SA beat and Deweyville beat are pretty comparable, it should be a good close game and whoever makes the least mistakes will win.
14. Coldsring wins 35-31. Livingston is a run oriented team and I think Coldspring defens that pretty well. A passing team will give Coldspring trouble. Livingston has a suspect defense.
15. This is one conference game I think LU can win. If the cards have all their weapons available I think they win 32-30.
16.
Excuses, excuses, excuses, I'm sure there are some people that do not go to the games because they do not sale all beef hot dogs.  Just like some people do not vote because "All the people that are running for office are crooks."  Some people want to be involved while others just want to point fingers.  All of this constant talk of why someone is not going to the games over basically three young men is puzzling.  There are over eighty young men on the football roster that bust their butts.  But there are repeated post about not attending games because of less than 5% of them they have an issue with.  Lamar University is a very valuable asset to this area.  The university creates jobs in the area and gives us an option not export our money and our kids so they can receive a higher education.  Football is a marketing tool for the university and in Texas it is the biggest tool.  If you ask most people which is the better university between UT and Rice that the majority will say UT. But Rice is rated seventeenth in the nation by U.S. News.  Just because of the exposure UT gets from football sways peoples opinions. Lamar has gotten a good jump on having an exciting football program.  The field house, field, and scoreboard are all first class.  And the tailgating can not be beat. The university has laid a strong foundation for the football program. We as a community have an opportunity to build something everyone can be proud of.  All we have to do is to fill the stands.  That will help the school recover the money that was spent on building that foundation.  Continue filling the stands during the first few lean years, where the wins and completion are not where we would like them to be.  Then the athletic budget could be expanded and could hire a few more coaches as mentioned on here.  More money means being able to travel and recruit more.  The university gave us what we said we wanted for years, FOOTBALL.  Now it is time for us to put our money where our mouth is, and put our butts in the stands. P.S. I hope they get the all beef hot dogs so we can get that +1.
This is without a doubt in the top 3 posts that I have read on any of the forums. It hits the nail on the head with a sledghammer! :)
17. I was there, too, and I'll be at all home games. I think putting home games on TV for a program that just started back is plain dumb. I agree with the poster who said make comming to the game the only option of seeing the game. I think now that the schedule will pick up, attendence will pick up. However, if Lamar's play doesn't pick up, attendence will level off or decline, untill the McNeese game. I think LU will average 12 to 13,000 for home Southland games. It'll be a sellout for Mcneese.
18. WOS GRAD I tried to give you a PM but apparentlly I'm locked out of that. For your stat page I have some stats from Deweyville's game at HD. Ty Bickham 25 rushes for 226 yards and 3 TDs. 5/8 passing for 125 yards. Ryan Collins 17 rushes for 172 yards and 4 TDs.  2 rec. for 20 yards Cody DuPuy 5 rushes for 60 yards  1 rec. 25 yards Damien Trussell 2 rushes for 7 yards. Trey bussell 2 rec. for 80 yards. Deweyville  465 yards rushing and 125 yards passing for 590 total yards.

Congrats to the Pirates on the victory, dominating performance.  Good luck to HD the rest of the year.  One comment on the game, Dville needs to put the best "11" players on the field for Offense, Defense, and Special Teams, the latter has consistently cost us field position throughout the year and tonight cost us 6 pts.
Steeler I agree 100% if the coaches do not put the best 11 on both sides of the ball it will cost us in distict. these boys can play both sides the hole game they did it sence they were 5
Yes sir, totally agree, I believe now that District has started the 11 best will be out there.
The best HEALTHY 11 will be playing!
21. When Coach T was hired, y'all should''ve seen this comming with the offense. He said he wanted to run more from the I formation and shorten the game and play tough defense. That sounds like, what he has done. The kids just have to execute better. Coach T will have them ready come district. I must say I have never saw people get off a band waggon as fast as some of the people on this website. Four games into the season and some people want his head. The very people that said he was ONLY one that could take over for Coach Hooks. He is changing offenses and that takes time. Give him a break. I didn't hear the post game interview but frm what I have gathered from previous posts that he called out his seniors. So what! At some point in time the coach can only do so much motivating, then it is up to your seniors to step up. As for Toby, he was not forced out. If he had gotten then job Coach T would've retired. Somebody was right on here when they said that Hodges' offense hasn't worked anywhere, because I can't think of a place where it has.
22.
