I've seen Bosco play a few times on tv and I think the top teams in Texas (Allen, Katy, Trinity, LT) would drill Bosco.

We cut our tournovers down, we increase our yardage by another 75 ypg. Play calling is fine.

What I saw tonight at the game is Lamar needs a front 7. The defense, overall, has had little improvement over last year. Our LBs are horrible. They don't get downhill fast enough and can't cover anybody on passes. Our DTs aren't getting off blocks. The problem, defensivily, is our middle. It ain't going to be fixed this year, either. We need 300 pounders at DT to help protect the LBs more. Offensivily, we do run the ball a whole lot better than we did last year. I think we'll be fine on offense. Yes, I too think we need stay behind the left side of the line, but you can't do that all game. You do have to go to the other side was sometimes. The problem with the coaching staff is there is not enough coaches on staff. Having only 8 coaches on staff at a Div. 1 school is a joke. If Lamar wants to compete at this level and actually put a winning product on the feild, they need to hire at least 4 more coaches. Most D-1 schools have 12-16 coaches. The Beaumont High Schools all have at least 12 coaches, for cryin' out loud! Hampshire-Fannett has 17!

It better be 50-0. If they have corrected the mistakes on defense Incarnant Word should not score a point! If Lamar really wants to get prepared for the Southland, they're going to have get rid of the Texas Colleges and Incarnant Words off the schedule.

WOS-  28 JASPER- 14 Jasper's improved but, not enough this year. Mustangs will get their first win of the season.

I don't know if it will be a track meet. Against Garrison, Hemphill only put up 14 pts.

Why would anybody bring up Buna's JV? We played their Varsity to a 3-3 tie in our second scrimage.

A few things worked in Redd's favor; one, WOS High School is unacceptable and West Brook in accademiclly acceptable. Two, the Redd family moved to Beaumont and actually resides there. Three, they moved there last spring. He had already enrolled in school last year. The only thing I question is why the district ruled him inelligable in the first place. To answer a earlier post, you can transfer anywhere if your school is unacceptable, however, you still have sit out a year, if you live outside the district you are transfering too.

WOS has lost 2 games to 2 pretty good football teams by a total of 2pts. Nederland and Friendswood will each go at least two rounds in the 4A playoffs. Also, when was the last time WOS wasn't one of the top 15 teams in this area? Central also lost to 2 pretty decent teams, Memorial and West Brook. I'm sure they will get one of the playoff spots from 20-4A. Both of those teams, despite their current records, are top Ten, top Twelve  area teams, when all said and done.

Katy wins, a whole lot to very little.
