I'll answer that one... Because it's a FOOTBALL FIELD, where people run and jump and get tackled for 48 minutes. I assure you that the kids from WOS do not run on the field thinking, "hey let's go disrespect our opponent and give them extra motivation before we play them". In my opinion, the mere thought that they think this way is just retarded (no offense, that's just my opinion). I promise you that Jasper, and any other team in this area has an open invitation to meet at the middle of the WOS field and you will never have to worry about Dan, any coach or any other WOS fan come on here and piss and moan about it. Sorry if this is harsh, but I think the whole idea of this thread is senseless and I can't believe that such an issue is being made by adults (again, my opinion).

I agree and Im not from WOS.  Our team doesnt do it but i do not think its disrespectful.  If jasper had done it the past 10 years he would have never posted this topic.  Lets move on this site is for talking about football, seems too much whining about football is going on instead.

So you have noticed that some Refs won't let them do it in the middle of the field, That should tell you that the guys in charge know it is not right.

Ok to answer a few things

Do I think Hooks cares if it is against the rules NO he has shown in the past he does things his way. He is a great coach so before you say I bashed him I didnt.

KJB also stated that they do it to get pumped up and They need it to get pumped up so that makes it ok in his eyes. If it took a snort of something to get a player pumped up because they need something to get them ready would that make it ok BECAUSE THEY NEED IT TO PLAY Thats a weak arguement.

I fully think they (by they I mean any team that does it) do it as a sign that they think they own that field, I agree it is in my opinion disrespectful  but beyond that against the rules and will only intice payback.

First of all the refs dont keep them from doing it, they just move them from the center so obviously they dont think its wrong.  Second I wasnt referring to WOS getting pumped up because they obviously dont need it their record speaks for itself.  Third, you can talk about hooks all you want cuz i went to west brook (where they do not run out in the middle of the field).  Finally if anybody thinks its wrong well your right to that opinion but all i will say is that its nothing personal and WOS still would do it if they were at a neutral site.  Not saying its right but its really not hurting anybody.

You are forgetting that most of the time the logo has nothing to do with it.  If you watch WOS they do it even when there is no logo on the field.  They are just going to the middle of the field and when the refs wont let them they do it near the sidelines.  The are just getting ready for the game not trying to disgrace a logo, yall are looking too far in to it.  

Last time I checked we are playing football not having a tea party.  If its before the game the teams are just trying to get pumped up which is often needed in order for them to play well.  Usually the people that complain about this come out on the losing end of the game and are looking for something to complain about.  Let them play its called excitement for the game.

We have refused to throw in the middle for years. Need to throw more on first down don't you think so?

He threw over the middle a little early in the season and even completed some passes but he just is so inaccurate its too big of a risk when you can run it and get 4 or 5 on first down.

Anybody watch the katy game on tv.  Id like it too be but i dont think brook will be able to take katy if they play. Katy passes too well and brook defense lacks in the secondary.  Sure they are improving but the will give up the yards to a decent QB/WR combo and you can bet katy has one.

We make defenses look good. We have to throw more on 1st down and keep the defenses off balance. That doesn't happen. We have 2 or 3 plays. Sideline pass and Bomb. Against Giddings that will have to change for us to have a chance. They will stop our run!!!

Its hard to throw over the middle not to mention dangerous when you have a pretty inaccurate QB.  The bombs and screens take out the interception for the most part.  I hear the freshman is a heck of alot better passer so in years to come they will throw over the middle.  You cant just do it cuz you need to you also have to be able to.

Offensively the brook is great.  But they are gonna have to stop the pass.  Everybody talks about the D but its only good on the line and the LB's.  That secondary is weak.  The lee qb was just chunking the ball up and his reveivers were coming down with it.  I mean literally he would chunk it to one corner then chunk it to the next.  I dont think he threw a single great pass.  Those receivers need alot of credit for keeping the game even asclose as it was.  WB won't go far unless they get better at stopping te pass.

For those of you that have time warner you might be aware that there are games that can be seen on "gt on demand".  The games are on there for a few weeks and each weeks games is put on there the following friday.  Does anyone know if there is a schedule for the season on the games that will be showed or do they just pick one each week?  I'd like to see a schedule if anyone knows of one.

Yeah, she is. And if y'all are 'having fun' with balla, then why don't you direct all those comments to him, instead of to everyone else. Some of us did say it would be a hard game, and wished both teams good luck.

Most WOS fans said it would be a close game also. Closer games are more exciting.  Thats why we enjoyed being in 4a cuz the games were exciting.  I hope we play again in the playoffs (barring a playoff miss by silsbee) and that its a close game.

your right . i am young and thats good that you earn your respect . you must have learned that from home because obviously school isn't doing you people any good. I'm sure if we were 4A and moved down to 3A and killed all of the teams we would have respect to . SO NOW whose working for respect ? US or YOU ? You did have it handed to you .

WOS isnt even that big of a 3A anymore. Not even the big school in this district.  And if it was up to us we would be in 4a.  We enjoy playing teams like Nederland, PNG, La Marque, Bay City  etc..

I'm ready to see how this season is gonna end because you are getting a little too cocky especially after I congrats yall on the win. Liberty Hill, Giddings and Celina awaits !!! And possibilty that Kirbyville be in the mix.

There isnt any running it up about it.  Mem only scored 21 on offense.  The defense kicked some butt

What has kirbyville ever done to earn so much attention.  They have played WOS for three years now and not yet has it been a game that has lived up to all the attention.  Well unless your a WOS fan.

what does that mean "go to state" we won a good game 2 night but the problem for you guys started when the ref gave the kats our fumble on the first play of the second half and then let the kats keep theirs 3 plays later, I believe that made a bunch of stangs mad. By the way my hat goes off to #39 he was on j.v. last week and raised all kind of  H E double hockey sticks on your offense.

Flapping my jaws???? Yes, I predicted us to win 27-13 and also said it was gonna be a good game. WO-S is a good team with all that said, you guys are dominate in this area but go to STATE my friend. We didn't play our best game tonight and PLEASE PLEASE don't count us out. We are expecting a BALLGAME from Silsbee and HF.

WOS did not play their best ball either they had just as many turnovers as K-ville.

So after all of that jaw-flapping, that's all you have to say after being absolutely dominated once again?

Good game in the first, but I almost felt bad for Kville near the end. They have a fairly solid running game and Rhodes is probably the second best back in the district (behind Garrett), but the Cats had absolutely no defense. We had to have at least 5 25-plus yard runs, and I wouldn't be completely shocked if we had three backs over 100 yards. There was no doubt who the better team was tonight. We are still WO-S, and they are still Kirbyville. After last week and this week, I have to give HF a shot at second. The two were comparable. The squib (wasn't an onside) and resulting TD got into their heads, and there was never a chance of recovery. Also, WO-S only attempted two PATs. One never made it to the ground b/c of a high snap, and the other was made.

kvillecheer, before you talk about attitudes, check your boy balla's "karma." There's a reason he's closing in on negative 200.

All in all, just another game for the Mustangs in 3A, as we predicted all along.

Im pretty sure the kicker has only missed two extra points when he actually had the chance to kick it.  If they can just get the ball down more than likely he will make it.

WOS was not pulling out all the stops they were in control the whole game after K-villes first drive.  It was not a purposeful onside kick.  Thye were trying to kick the ball on the ground so K-ville wouldnt have a chance to return and on that one he topped the ball a little too much.  You dont kick the ball 25 yards on an onside kick.

Hows the weather in kirbyville right now?

I dont know if its necessarily people leaving because ozen is losing or people going back to brook after leaving there when ozen was created.  When ozen was created it was the big thing to go there and west brook and central lost alot of athletes.  Now that ozen has been around for a while things are starting to even out again.

Check out this missed call with ref staring right at it.  Was watching the tailgate party highlights and saw this.
