1. There is no QB controversy for the Bronco's, Chambers is the man. He's been nursing a bad ankle since the Elkins game and hasn't been 100% so hence limited playing time. He got the go ahead at the CE King game to do what he does best become a dual-threat QB and every one saw him burn King for a 60 yd run that was highlite material.  The next series he got his bell rung with a head on collision with a King LB  so enter McBribe to slow the game down and get out of town with a win.

 3.
Not trying to highjack this tread, my pick is at the bottom; but here is some interesting information about years in 4A, playoff appearances, and first win in this classification since 1980 when the UIL eliminated Class B and moved everybody up 1-A division. I'm not saying BH will make the playoffs this year, yet alone, win their first playoff game in 4A although we can always hope, right?  But after doing a little snooping around on DCTHF's website, here is a little 4A playoff history with regards Dayton, Crosby, and BH - mind you, only for comparison sakes. 1980 and Beyond Years is 4A Crosby 32 (consecutive) Dayton 32 (consecutive) BH 6 (consecutive) Playoff Appearances: Crosby 12 Dayton 17 BH 6 First 4A playoff Appearance: Crosby 4th year Dayton 5th year BH 1st year First Playoff Win: Crosby 1999 - 20 years in 4A Dayton 1998 - 19 years in 4A BH ????? - well...who knows; but we at least have another 13 years just to reach Dayton's effort and of course, this based on somebody else's information....But really interesting nonetheless!!! That said....I'm taking BH so hopefully we can at least have an opportunity this year....lol
20 yrs ago did they have 4 teams from each district make the playoffs ?
 4. Where are all the Crosby fans ???  Give us your take on the game ! Show a little character - win or loose at least the Bronco's will take their medicine! Even the national Mexican champion world beater Barbies don't mind eating a little crow now & then. That being said I thought Crosby fielded the best team I've seen from them in years .The twins & #15 WR played a heck of a game.
 5.
Dayton vs crosby is the game to make for any casual fan. Its the one game of the year I actually get nervous. There is no love lost on these to teams and even though dayton has a excellent record against crosby lately, crosby has been the one team in our district that has the athletes to match up. I just hope we see a clean game with limited turnovers and penalties and may the best team win. One side not no matter what happens tonight if all the stars aligned right this could be a rematch in the quarter finals. I know it would be a long shot but I bet it would sell out stallworth.
Nah- Vidor would take them out before we could get to em !

Who by the way has 2 rings. For some reason though he has yet to win a playoff game.
But he beat you ;)
im sure that was his crowning achievement. Im going to let you in on a little secret. Bh was not the first team to beat dayton yall just rushed the field like you were. Now beating dayton on a regular basis only a couple of teams can say that and its not bh or crosby.
Yeah I bet you guys were just above his 2 state championships ::) Beleive me that win wasn't even a notch is his grand kids belts ;)
well he hit the field screaming like a 10 year old girl at a justin bieber concert. I swear yall acted like it was a state championship game.
bahaaaaaa ;D ;D ;D funny ,but true !!!
 7.
Got a question for you cougar14. My buddy who happens to be a bh fan told me they had key injuries second half that was why they fell apart. Tell me this is not true so I can bust his you know what tomorrow.
I work with a couple of BH fans and they made no mention of injuries when I ask them about getting their ace kicked ! They said that Bh would get baited( almost every time) by Crosby's QB into leaving the edges open trying to run him down then he would dump a little screen pass off or just run around corner .
 8.
My fault, I was thinking about the two Lumberton scores. I was thinking Barbers Hill beat someone 20-0, but that was the GCM-Lumberton score. Good catch though, I'll fix that. Funny it's not 'til the 36th post you can catch something that is factually incorrect though. I know you checked everything else too. That means I gave you 35 post of the truth. I was getting off work and slipped up so my fault. 730 rushing yards the last two games to Dayton's 680 total. That number better be well over a 1000 if Crosby doesn't turn it over for the Purple Mares to have a chance. Oh yeah, my fault BHFAN, I accidentally gave y'all too much credit.
Your in for a surprise !
Thanks man.  Same to you and your Broncos.  Seemed like DCTF & a few others thought we fell off the map or something.
I think Brenham got complascent the last few years with all that talent this year they just might be one of the more dangerous teams in the playoffs.
 12. This game won't even be close Livingston will roll !
 13.
sleep on Livingston if yall want.  ;) you'll see.
agree ! ;)
 14. You have very good 3a teams that can win against 4a teams and the same with 4a/5a but over-all if every team could play against each other the higher classification would have the best winning percentage by far.

 16.
First of all, what's with the 40 something to 20 something scores? Man, we can't get any more respect than that? Why do Crosby fans need a rebuttal? Y'all make the argument for us. We held Nederland to 21 pts with no turnovers at home, they just put 31 on Angleton on the road with 4 in the first quarter. Barbers Hill would be the best opponent y'all have played all year. I bet they put 30 on y'all, just like they did last year. Denny and O'Neal are beast in that option attack. Nobody has gotten close to 30 on us this year, 227 yards of offense won't do it either. Better be able to throw it because the D is physical. The Hill ran for 241 on us and they run it every play. Going into the game we we're giving up an average of 17 pts, The Hill scored 17. The O may be the best in the district, averaging 35 pts and about 450 ypg. I know Summer Creek's numbers are better but those will come down to Earth when district starts for them.  I think Dayton will be the second team to crack the 20 point mark, I just don't think it will be enough. Crosby 35 Dayton 27
35/27 very unrealistic won't happen. Crosby will see physical when they meet up with Dayton's "D"  the big boy's in the trenches are big and quick and the back-field crew is faster than big Ned's backfield. We are loaded on offense with skill players with 5 or 6 players that can hang with the twins anyday. ( not taking anything away from the twins they are the real deal)  This should be a good game both teams have some play-makers. Dayton will win this one again !
 17.
Congrats to the Broncos...looking forward to seeing the rematch against you in the playoffs.
Thank you ! Congrats on your big win also !  Don't want to see Vidor in the first round anyway maybe somewhere down the line . Dayton called off the dogs in the 2nd qtr. against New Caney . I think they will grow to be a decent team in the next few years and to their creidt they were very good sports and never got rattled or lost their temper when the game got out of reach. To Dayton's credit we stared our 4th QB we've used this year ( our RB ) and basically ran the ball right up the middle the whole night if we would of used our passing game the score would have been nasty to say the least.
 18.
I wouldn't throw dirt on PNG yet. Everyone has down years. No I'm not saying this will be a bad year for PNG. As the season progresses EVERY team will have to overcome adversity on and off the field. Injuries, family tragedies, accidents, illness, and a myriad of other challenges will be faced by players, coaches, and fans. Everyone that has ever coached, played, or participated in activities with young people has at one time or another dealt with these things. You must adapt, overcome, and put less than perfect circumstances behind you. Young people must recognize the freedoms and enjoyment of their high school years and realize that the hard part starts after graduation. That's just the way it is. Life isn't all fairness and pleasure. There is a cold world waiting to gobble up the weak of mind or spirit. I believe PNG will pull it all together and surprise some people. You just have to choose not to lose. If you give your best effort then win, lose, or draw you can look in a mirror and see a winner.
Good write up ! +1
And this makes you informed?  Please.  What coach in his right mind is going to tell you that the district sucks and the only reason his team will do great is because of that.  Well there is one, and he is more honest than most on here can handle, and he is now retired.  If you don't believe me, just ask him about the district.  You will get an honest answer.  I did, and I got the only answer I need.
Really I could care less about the district and it looks to be decent enough to me not weak. And our offense will do just fine wait and see ~ :)

 22.
Get ready for more kool-aid from the Bronco fans.  This Elkins team was not very good.  Very poorly coached and as a team had very poor conditioning.  The Broncos won which is the bottom line but let's don't call this group any where near teams of the past.  The defense will have to hold this team together because the offense is a walking time bomb, and it will explode (I do not mean this in a good way).  If they make it through the year with the same offensive players even on the team they will be lucky!! The Broncos should go 10-0 looking at the schedule.  Our district is crappy, from top to bottom. Trust me, I hope I am wrong about everything I said except for the 10-0, but will not be surprised if this team implodes.  Leadership problems.
You are obviously an imposter or a luke warm Bronco fan with out a clue -
